Whether you're attending a Christian Science church service for the first time or you've studied the Bible Lesson-Sermons for many years, you're always welcome at all of our church services.

This week's Lesson-Sermon is on Substance and begins with Luke 10:23 (Blessed)
"...Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:”

During the church service, you will hear verses from the Bible and from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which together comprise the Lesson-Sermon.

At the end of the service, you're invited to sit and listen to music. This provides a perfect opportunity to quietly reflect on the Lesson that has been shared before you go about your day.

All are welcome.

The events of September 11 brought tremendous fear and uncertainty into the lives of countless people. Yet prayer can help us recognize that God’s presence is not absent in times of crisis.

The Lord’s Prayer offers words that have comforted generations—and for one 9/11 survivor, prayer became a source of protection and peace.

“Jesus gave his disciples (students) power over all manner of diseases; and the Bible was written in order that all peoples, in all ages, should have the same opportunity to become students of the Christ, Truth, and thus become God-endued with power (knowledge of divine law), and with 'signs following'. Jesus declared that his teaching and practice would remain, even as it did, ‘for them also which shall believe on me through their word.’”

— The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany

If the inspired word of the Bible is something you need, our Reading Room (Bookstore) has various editions and study materials available for purchase.

Open this evening from 5 to 7 pm.

Need some more inspiration?

We have church on Sundays, and the Reading Room is open four different days of the week.

Whether you're attending a Christian Science church service for the first time or you've studied the Bible Lesson-Sermons for many years, you're always welcome at all of our church services. This Sunday is no exception.

This week's Lesson-Sermon is on Man and begins with Genesis 1:27:

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.”

During the church service, you'll hear verses from the Bible and from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which together comprise the Lesson-Sermon.

Hymns are sung three times during the service, and there is also a solo. You'll have the opportunity to hear and recite aloud the Lord's Prayer, followed by hearing its spiritual interpretation.

At the end of the service, you're invited to sit and listen to music. This provides a perfect opportunity to quietly reflect on the Lesson that has been shared before you go about your day.

All are welcome.

"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures explains that healings and transformative experiences of the Bible were the natural effect of spiritual laws that comprise the Science of Christ, which anyone can apply to bring harmony to individual lives, as well as hope and progress to the wider world." (From back of the Science and Health; spiral edition).

How can you pray for the world?

There are lots of different ways one could answer that question. During the month of September, we invite you to stop by the Reading Room and explore answers. If you are inspired by a Bible verse or a verse from Science and Health, we encourage you to leave it for others to explore.
