This Eastertide, we begin a new sermon series titled Chosen for This: The Calling of God’s Easter People. Rooted in the letter of 1 Peter and shaped by our Wesleyan tradition, this series invites us to live into the hope of resurrection, not just as a belief, but as a calling. Each week explores how grace forms us, love guides us, and Christ strengthens us to be a people of courage, compassion, and holy purpose in a changing world. Our confirmation class spent their day off school at the church for a retreat to study the Bible and to learn and grow in their faith. They even created a skit on how the stories of the Bible were shared through story telling. Our youth are a true blessing to the church!

Join us Sunday as we pray this prayer to begin the new year.

At the beginning of a new year, many United Methodists renew their covenant with God with a Covenant Service and a recitation of the Wesley Covenant Prayer--a prayer which John Wesley adapted from the Puritan tradition.

The prayer invites us to rededicate our lives to serving as Jesus' representatives in the world. It invites us into participating in self-emptying love.
