We were blessed to serve our community a full Thanksgiving Dinner alongside Project Hunger and a boatload of volunteers!

Grand Island is amazing community dedicated to service of others.

We are so blessed!! Two days ago, we got a call about a buisness wanting to donate the cover charge for their Thanksgiving Concert to our Food Pantry. Yesterday, we dropped off two boxes for a business who requested them in order to do a food drive for our pantry AS WELL AS picking up a cart full of food from another local buisness!

The blessings keep on flowing today! We got a call at 1:40 from a shipping company who was enroute (from IL to CO) with the remainder of an over shipment of canned carrots! The driver used to live in Grand Island and immediately thought of us when his bosses instructed him to donate the over shipment amount of 169 cases to whomever he wanted (as long as they could get a donation receipt)!

The Lord is certainly providing for the residents of Grand Island through wonderful people and community partners!

We at The Salvation Army Grand Island are so thankful for the trust and investment put in to our care. It’s because of all of you that we can attempt to reach our goal of “Doing The Most Good”!

If you’re stuck out in the cold today, our Fellowship Hall is open as a Warming Center!!! Come get some shelter from the cold!

We will turn on the TV for entertainment, too!
