The unity for which Jesus prayed among believers has a evangelical purpose, that the world may believe that the Father sent his Son into the world, and that this sending was God’s testimony of his love for us. This is exactly the unity we see in this verse, and the kind of unity we ought to long for, pray for, and labor to maintain with the help of the Holy Spirit.

In our worship, God speaks to us through his Word by His Spirit, and we speak to him through our prayers, united to one another in Christ, and giving verbal expression to that unity through our prayers give by the minister. It is the duty of the members of the congregation not only to hear his words, but also to pray them in their hearts. That is how we pray with one voice.

The souls of men and women everywhere are at stake in the proclamation of the true biblical gospel. If we truly love people, will will not shy away from teaching, preaching, and then feeding people with Jesus, the only name under heaven by which men must be saved.
