Here's some information of interest from Ron Franz:
The Northern Valley Labor Council will hold our annual Workers Memorial service at 5:30 PM on April 28, at Family of God Church, located on “The Point”, 327 5th Avenue SE, East Grand Forks, MN. Following the service, there will be a celebration of May Day, which was initiated in 1889 as to mark the worldwide struggle for workers’ rights.

We invite everyone concerned with workers' rights to solemnly remember the women and men who have lost their lives while working, to commemorate Labor’s struggle, and to stand for the right of ALL workers to safety, to a living wage, to organize, and to be free of fear and intimidation. Everyone is invited to stay afterwards for the fellowship of a picnic meal.
