Church Administrative Assistant
JOB SUMMARY:
The Church Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the church office, providing advanced secretarial support to ministry staff, and serving as a liaison between the church body and staff. Key responsibilities include handling phone calls, emails, and mail, maintaining the church calendar, coordinating events, and assisting with mass mailings. The role also involves preparing weekly bulletins, announcements, and newsletters, managing databases, and ensuring the church’s materials and communications are accurate and timely. Additional duties include maintaining office supplies, scheduling appointments, assisting with building maintenance, and organizing special events. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and church members.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Preferred 5 years secretarial and office management experience combined or indication of equivalent skill level.
· Minimum 2 years secretarial experience and one year office management experience or indication of equivalent skill level.
· High school diploma with supplemental coursework in office procedures or equivalent training and experience, with specific training or equivalent expertise in computer use including, but not limited to, word processing and publishing (Microsoft products)
· Excellent knowledge of standard office equipment including personal and other office equipment for proper office function.
· Member in good standing of Grace Baptist or a Christian church of like beliefs.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Graphics, social media, YouTube working knowledge.
