Welcome to the headquarters building of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA) and the Goldsboro Disciples Institute (GDI). The Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ consists of six districts in America, each governed by a Presiding District Bishop and cabinet with various subsidiary presidents who oversee work in Missions, Christian Education, Youth ministry, Bible institutes for minister

ial and advanced training, boards for ordination and council (church discipline), choirs, nurses units, and usher boards. Hood is the Presiding Prelate and Bishop Rodney Parker serves as Vice. This Assembly currently consists of 60+ churches and churches in Ghana, WA and the Caribbean.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elder Dr. Jeffery Ward who was called home on Monday, June 8, 2026 at UNC Health Lenoir in Kinston , North Carolina. The arrangements are currently incomplete. We extend our deepest condolences to the Ward Family and please continue to keep his family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
