There will be no Enrichment Hour this week, but we didn’t want to leave you without something to carry you through! Consider this your spiritual recharge dock—a place to plug in, refocus, and be reminded of this truth:
Seasons Change, but God Doesn’t
God is the ultimate example of what it means to be consistent—not in some things, but in all things. As children of God, created in His image, we should learn to grasp consistency, consistently.
God is not wavering. He is steadfast. He does not become less faithful because the season changes. He does not alter His character because circumstances shift. What He established in one season remains rooted in who He is in the next.
“I am the LORD, and I do not change.” — Malachi 3:6
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8
That is why we can reference Him as our Strong Tower. A strong tower cannot provide refuge if it shifts every time the wind blows. It must remain standing—firm, established, and dependable.
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” — Proverbs 18:10
And if we are created in His image, consistency should be reflected in us.
We cannot be faithful only when it is convenient.
Committed only when we are encouraged.
Obedient only when we understand.
Available only when we feel appreciated.
Steadfast only when the season is favorable.
Seasons change. Circumstances change. People change. Feelings change. But God does not.
And the more we become like Him, the less our consistency should depend upon what is changing around us.
God doesn’t adjust His character to accommodate the season. Neither should we allow the season to dictate ours.
