Over the past month, we’ve been looking at women in Scripture who helped strengthen the early Church. And the more we’ve sat in these stories, the more you start to see a pattern.

Women who stayed close to Jesus and supported what He was doing — like Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna.

Women who opened their homes and made space for people to gather — like Lydia.

Women who gathered others to seek the Lord in prayer — like Mary, the mother of John Mark.

Women who remained steady and faithful across seasons, strengthening the Church wherever they went — like Priscilla.

Women who were trusted to carry what had been entrusted to them — like Phoebe.

Women whose compassion was woven into the lives of those around them — like Tabitha.

Women who passed their faith on to the next generation — like Lois and Eunice.

None of it felt loud or rushed. It was steady. Faithful. Rooted.

As we wrap up celebrating Women’s History Month, I just keep coming back to that. God has always worked through women who are willing to follow Him, trust Him, and stay faithful right where they are.

And that same invitation is in front of us today.

We get to live that kind of faith now. Together. In our homes, in our conversations, in the way we show up for each other and for the people God has placed around us.

We would love for you to come be part of that with us.

Join us for Women’s Evening on Wednesday, April 1st at 6:30 PM in the Youth Auditorium.

When Paul wrote to Timothy, he remembered the faith that had first lived in Timothy’s grandmother Lois and in his mother Eunice.

Their sincere faith shaped the life of a young man who would later help lead and strengthen the early church.

Scripture reminds us that the work of God is often carried forward through ordinary moments of faith lived out in everyday life.

Lois and Eunice may not have stood on public platforms, but their faith helped form a leader whose ministry would impact many.

Their story reminds us that investing in the faith of others can shape generations to come.

Who is God inviting you to invest in spiritually?

In Acts 9 we meet Tabitha, also called Dorcas. Scripture describes her as a woman who was “full of good works and acts of charity.”

She cared for the widows in her community, using her time and her skills to serve those who were in need.

When she died, the widows gathered around Peter weeping. Scripture tells us they showed him the garments and clothing Tabitha had made while she was with them. These weren’t just items she had given away long ago. The women were still wearing them.

Her kindness had been woven into their daily lives.

Tabitha’s story reminds us that strengthening the Church often happens through simple acts of compassion that quietly shape the lives of others.

Where is God inviting you to reflect His love through what you do?

At the beginning of Romans 16, Paul introduces a woman named Phoebe to the believers in Rome. He describes her as a servant of the church in Cenchreae and asks the church to welcome and assist her.

Many scholars believe Phoebe was entrusted to deliver this very letter to the church in Rome.

In the early church, carrying a letter like this was a role of deep trust. The messenger often read the letter aloud, explained it, and represented the one who sent it. Phoebe carried a message that would shape the life and theology of the Church.

Her story reminds us that the work of God often moves forward through people who faithfully carry what has been entrusted to them.

Where is God inviting you to faithfully carry what He has placed in your hands?

Priscilla appears several times throughout the New Testament, and each time we see her strengthening the life of the early church.

In Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome, she and her husband Aquila worked alongside Paul, opened their home to believers, and helped others grow in their understanding of the gospel.

Their location changed over time, but their faithfulness did not. Wherever they went, they continued serving the work of God.

Paul later described them as his fellow workers in Christ Jesus who had even risked their lives for him.

Priscilla’s story reminds us that a rooted faith is not tied to one place or one season. It is lived out through steady faithfulness wherever God leads.

Where is God inviting you to remain rooted in your faithfulness to Him?

In Acts 12, the early church was facing fear and uncertainty. Peter had been imprisoned, and the believers gathered together to pray.

When Peter was miraculously released, Scripture tells us that he went to a house where many people were still gathered and praying. It was the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark.

Her home had become a place where the people of God could come together and seek Him.

In a moment of pressure, she made space for prayer, and the community gathered to bring their needs before the Lord.

As we continue our Rooted series this Women’s History Month, Mary’s story reminds us how God often strengthens His people when they gather to seek Him together.

Where is God inviting you to gather and seek Him?
