The Spirit provides faith and purpose for life. Pentecost, the celebration of the special arrival of the Holy Spirit, is the third great festival of the Church, along with the Nativity and the Resurrection. Pentecost closes the fifty-day period after Easter and ends the festival half of the church year.

Join us for worship as we close out the Easter season and celebrate Pentecost! Don't forget to wear red to worship this Sunday!

Jesus is head over everything for the Church. At the time of Ascension, he takes his proper place. The Festival of the Ascension is one of the oldest and most joyful celebrations in the Christian Church. It will be observed by Christians until Christ returns to take us to be with him.

He takes care of my basic needs. He promises to do more for me than I can imagine. He puts people into my life so I can help them. Now I live for him.

We live in a world where a thousand things are competing for our attention. As a result, we often talk about the importance of being “free from distraction.” But the stakes are higher than that. We need to be freed from distraction. We need the spiritual power to give our undivided attention to that which truly makes a difference, not only here and now, but also in eternity. A life focused on all the right things is only possible because of a Savior who is always focused on us.

Don't forget! There is a call meeting tomorrow night in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m. where we'll get a chance to review the call process, hear the list of candidates from the District President, and vote on who we will be calling as our 8th pastor in Grace's 96-year history! All Grace members are strongly encouraged to attend so their voice is heard.

Warriors will bid farewell and God's blessings to Pastor Clark at the end of this week as he takes his ministry to Marana to serve at Redeemer Lutheran Church and School. He will be on campus this week, so please take time to wish him well and adieu.

Pastor Clark has served in the ministry for 40 years and Grace will recognize these years of service this Sunday. We welcome you to join us for worship at 8a or 10:30a. There will be a farewell dinner at 12p.

Thank you, Pastor Clark, we will miss you!
