What a powerful Sunday in the presence of the Lord! 🙌🏽
This morning, we began our day worshipping at the Bienville Parish Jail with our Jail Ministry.
We are grateful for every opportunity to take the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and share the love of Jesus with others.
We then gathered at The Field House for Sunday School and our morning Worship Service.
Scripture: Bro. Trevor Ryder
Prayer: Sis. Darneice Johnson
Announcements: Sis. Tam Isreal
Today’s Notes from Pastor Calvin Williams sermon:
“When Jesus Makes You Leave Your Water Pot” John 4:28–30
“What are you spending so much time doing that it’s keeping you from doing what God has called you to do?”
A water pot is used to draw water and quench physical thirst.
Just like the woman at the well, we can become so focused on our “water pots”…..our jobs, relationships, drugs, alcohol, or anything else we depend on for fulfillment that we miss what God is calling us to do.
Are you trying to satisfy a spiritual thirst with something physical?
You cannot fulfill a spiritual need with a physical resource.
When you truly encounter Jesus, you’ll be willing to leave your water pot behind. 🙌🏽
Sometimes, the very thing we’ve been carrying is the thing Jesus is asking us to leave behind.
Leave the water pot.
Follow Jesus.
Tell somebody what to he has done!
We are also thankful to have had Bro. Perry Allen Jr. and Family to come out and worship with us today!
