COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Troop 284, 9284, and other local troops have been invited to participate in the Chartiers Creek Cleanup & Canoe Trip on Saturday August 16, 9:00a-3:30p.
We will join the Allegheny Group of the Sierra Club, in partnership with Three Rivers Waterkeeepers, Allegheny Cleanways, and the Lower Chartiers Watershed Association.
Instead of walking along the banks, scouts and other volunteers will be collecting trash from the water from a canoe as we paddle down the creek. Reserve a spot in a canoe or bring your own canoe or kayak. Reward yourself with a free pizza lunch at the end!
