Macedonia Baptist Church and Cemetery

Today was the Macedonia Cemetery Reunion. We had a pretty good crowd with lots of fellowship. Connie moved our quick meeting outside to avoid the echo in the restaurant. Then we went back inside and had lunch.

Gary suggested that we give a one-time bonus to Steve Woods to cover the increased costs of gasoline, etc. The vote was pretty much unanimous to give him $200.

Connie mentioned that she has been able to consolidate all of the CDs into one, and get close to 4% interest which is a good rate right now.

The group voted to keep the same officers for the next year.

Lastly, a thank you is an order to Gary Carlisle for completing the 501 C3 designation.

Lunch for everybody was paid for by an AG candidate. If somebody knows their name, please advise.

Hello! Per Connie, our annual meeting will be on Saturday, May 16 at 10:30. We will be meeting in the restaurant at Crossroads since the community center will be used as a voting site that day. We can eat lunch right after the meeting. Hope to see everyone there!

Thank you to Connie who did a good job preparing for and conducting the Macedonia Reunion today. Also, a big thank you to Gary who has volunteered to help us obtain 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

Connie has also managed the CDs in such a way as to maximize the interest earned.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the Reunion. We had a fairly big crowd. I was glad to see everybody.

Do y’all think the sound was better in the Community Center than the restaurant where we met last year?

Hello! Connie asked me to post this. She has also mailed everyone.

The next meeting date is Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 at the community center beside the Crossroads Café to help with the acoustics issue from last year. After that, we will move to the café to eat lunch. Connie has asked in the letter to let her know if you plan to eat lunch so she can let the café know how many seats to reserve for us.

Hopefully, many will visit the cemetery before or after our meeting.
