A look back at last week’s Firelight & Friendship event!

Friends and family gathered on the Grace Commons Activity Field for an evening of fellowship around the bonfire, with music, a hot dog bar, and fun team activities hosted by Flame Master Ricky D.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—and to all who helped make the evening possible!

"Healed by the Author of Life" - Your suffering points to a deep problem in this world. We know this is not how life is supposed to be. Yet, in our suffering, we too often seek small comforts rather than the Lord of Life. Jesus came to deal with the core of what is wrong with the world. By putting your faith in him, you are trusting that his answer to the greater problem is the best answer to your present suffering. Where are you settling for something less than what Jesus offers? What would it look like for you to turn your suffering over to Christ? (Acts 3:1-16) Kevin Nelson https://open.spotify.com/episode/29vFMvako0HcoUENc9CoqY?si=fae8ca152570421d

"Centipedal Grace" - Christianity can be taught in a message, but it is caught in a community. In Acts 2, the church was the primary place where conversion happened. Contrary to expectation, evangelism happened as the people gathered more than it happened when they were sent. People were drawn to and invited into these life-giving communities that united over teaching, worship, fellowship, and prayer. What are the main obstacles you face to connecting to community? What would need to change at Faith for you to bring a friend? (Acts 2:42-47) Kevin Nelson https://open.spotify.com/episode/5aj6Z66abDqlmGuHUOdP4z?si=4605b6d7e60d46c6
