It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lawrence White, on June 25th, 2026.

John was born in Gainesville, Florida on July 14th, 1943 to Frederick and Marie White.

John was a long time member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.

He was a retired postal handler, an avid stamp collector, and a great lover of a wide range of music, which he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his son William A. White and his siblings.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, left to mourn his loss are his wife Shirley White, daughters Kay Weigel (Jason) and Deborah White, grandchildren Emily Conaty and Lydia Weigel, a grandson, and many other friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 3508 NW 19th Street, Gainesville, Florida.
