What’s in your garden? Mat 13:24

06/04/2026

God and everything that He is through Christ, who is everything, has come to bring everything Christ is to you. So, at the new birth Christ is in you, and in that, you now are adjusting to a new reality that requires shifting our thinking and our behavior to live as though we are in Christ and Christ in us. The fact that Christ is in you and you in Christ is the new power for life.”

Let’s reflect all the way back to day one. What was the second heresy that was working its way through the church at Colossae? A teaching that promoted the idea of a secret knowledge that was only available to a select few people in the faith. In other words, the people of God were being led to believe that there was a revelation outside of Jesus, something that only a few would ever have access to.

And yet we have the Word, and furthermore, the Word made flesh in Jesus. Look back at Colossians 1:27 again, specifically what Paul labels as our hope of glory, Christ IN us.

In other words,

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
2 Peter 1:3

Don’t just read that scripture and move on. Look deeply at it and let yourself feel the weight of that truth. For those in Christ, every single thing that is needed to carry out the Holy work before us has already been given to us through the divine power of God. You didn’t discover some secret truth hidden in a field. You aren’t being asked to manufacture a pearl of wisdom through your own deduction. You haven’t been plucked out of your sin and shame and then abandoned to navigate your way through a life filled with hallelujahs and hardships by the power of your own grit and gusto.

No, every single equipping gift you need for a godly life was given to you through your knowledge of Jesus, who called you by his own glory and goodness. He who gave you a revelation of His power has given you, through that revelation, His power. Ask yourself, what else could we, or the church at Colossae, possibly long for, and if we do long for something else, where does that longing come from?

“It is a brand-new reality and a brand-new story, and it is available to every single person.”
Louie Giglio

This is why we are called to preach Jesus with our gifts, our words, and our lives. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭19‬, ‭21‬-‭32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God So Loved The World
JOHN 3:16 WEYMOUTH 16 For so greatly did God love the world that He gave His only Son, that every one who trusts in Him may not perish but may have the Life of Ages.

Do you ever get fed up with the world? Do you just get tired of all the lies and the selfishness?

Do you ever deal with people that you think maybe the world would be better off if they just went to hell right away?

Well, God never thinks that way. God loves the world -- enough to die for it. He has never changed His mind.

JOHN 3:16-17 LB 16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

Remember this the next time you are having difficulty with someone. You are dealing with someone God loves!

No matter how you classify yourself -- God loves you. If you are a sinner or a saint, God loves you. And the good news is that God's love and power will change you into what you should be.

JOHN 3:16 BBE 16 For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.

Don't ever forget it: God loves people.

SAY THIS: God loves the whole world of people -- including me and everyone I know.

Two Kinds of Faith
Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.”
Daniel 3:28, NIV

In the book of Daniel, because three Hebrew teenagers refused to bow down to the king’s golden statue, they were thrown into a fiery furnace. They said, “The God we serve is able to deliver us from the fire, but even if He does not, we will not worship the image of gold.” Miraculously, they not only survived, but they came out unharmed and without even the smell of smoke.
There are two kinds of faith. There’s delivering faith, when our all-powerful God instantly takes you out of the problem, keeps you out of the fire, parts the Red Sea. Then there’s sustaining faith, when God makes you fireproof and takes you through the fire as the pathway to your destiny. Most of the time, you’re going to need sustaining faith for when you don’t see anything improving, when the opposition’s bigger. The good news is that God is sustaining and strengthening you through the trouble, through the sickness, through the breakup. Stay in peace. Trust Him that you’re in the middle of your miracle. You’re going to come out without the smell of smoke.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that no matter what the situation is, I can trust You to take me through difficulties and unfair situations. Thank You that You are my vindicator and that You are right there with me to sustain my faith. I believe I will come through without the smell of smoke. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place.”

They were together in a room, waiting. They were not certain how the next chapter would unfold. They had seen the risen Christ. They had heard His promise. But they were still ordinary men and women who knew their own weakness. Peter knew what it felt like to fail. Thomas knew what it felt like to doubt. None of them felt like heroes.

Then the Spirit came.

Pentecost was power given to surrendered people. The same Peter who once shrank back stood and spoke openly about Jesus. What changed was the Spirit of God resting on him.

That same Spirit is alive today.

Pentecost is not only something that happened. It is something that continues. God still fills. God still sends. God still makes His appeal through ordinary believers who are willing.

You do not need to fake boldness. You do not need to become someone else. You need to remain yielded. The Spirit empowers. He strengthens love. He calms trembling voices. Wait for the Spirit and be filled.

Today, do not rush past this moment. Pray again for B.O.B.

Ask for burden — a heart that feels what God feels for the people around you.
Ask for opportunity — awareness of the conversation already near you.
Ask for boldness — courage to speak when the moment comes.

Then take a step and be faithful.

Pentecost began with people who were willing to be used. That is still how it begins.

Action Question:
Who will you speak to next about what Jesus has done in your life?

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh. Let my life and words point clearly to Jesus Christ. Give me burden, opportunity, and boldness. I am Yours.

This is not the end of a reading plan. It is the beginning of a way of life. Continue walking in obedience. Continue praying for burden, opportunity, and boldness. The Spirit has not finished His work. Explore more about sharing your faith with others

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”

Paul does not speak hypothetically. He speaks declaratively. We are Christ’s ambassadors.

An ambassador represents another. He carries the message of the one who sent him. If you belong to Christ, your life is not only rescued; it is commissioned.

Paul builds this on reconciliation. God reconciled us to Himself through Christ. We were estranged. Mercy intervened. The cross closed the distance. Resurrection secured peace. If that is true of you, then reconciliation is not theory. It is your history.

Now Paul says something staggering: God makes His appeal through us.

That is dignity. It is also responsibility.

There are people within your reach who may never hear this message unless you speak it. God has chosen ambassadors. He has chosen redeemed voices. He has chosen people who know what forgiveness feels like. He has chosen you.

Being an ambassador does not mean being aggressive. It means being clear. It means speaking faithfully of the One you represent. It means understanding that when you speak of Christ, you are not acting alone. God Himself is appealing through you.

Today is not about pressure. It is about obedience.

You are an ambassador.

Action Question:
Who will you speak to today as Christ’s representative?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I belong to You. Use my voice to make Your appeal.

Good morning, if God tells you to take every thought captive, it means He gives you the ability to choose what you will believe. Don't allow anything to enter your mind that is not of Him. If it doesn't bless you, it wasn't meant for you. Don't give place to the enemy in any area of your life. If doubt has a place in your life, faith can't operate. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. "Eat and drink!" he says to you, but his heart is not with you." Proverbs 23:7. Meditate on His Word as you fall to sleep, and when you rise; you will wake up victorious in Christ. I pray that you enjoy a Guarding Your Mind Monday. 🙏🏾
