We are pleased with and proud of our Chapel Kids! Our interviews continue for those who want to share a bit about their lives. Thank you parents and grandparents for bringing them so we can get to know these wonderful people.

Today is the last day of our Thursday Lunch’s in May. Our ladies will be serving from 11:30-1:00. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit with friends and neighbors.
We want to thank our lunch crew, our sweet treat bakers and everyone who comes for set up and clean up.

Community co-operation.

We were given a large donation of eggs from Nayland Farms in Ctr. Conway.
We needed egg cartons and storage for some of the eggs.
A Facebook appeal brought us plenty of egg cartons and
Sandra from 302 West Smokehouse and Tavern offered to store some of the eggs until we could get them distributed.
Thank you Jeff, Sandra,and Terri ,and everyone who brought out cartons.
You are all amazing and we are grateful for all of you .

From his station out in war-torn Belgium, McCrae commemorated the sight in the poem “In Flanders Fields,” which reads:

“In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
