SOME PEOPLE WILL NEVER KNOW THE COST OF YOUR YES TO JESUS, BUT THEY WILL LIVE IN THE FRUIT OF IT.

Today, we had the honor of celebrating Pastor Andrew, a man whose life has been marked by surrender, sacrifice, and a continual yes to Jesus.

Behind every message, every prayer, and every life touched is a man who has chosen obedience over comfort and intimacy with the Father above everything else.

Through the difficult seasons, the slander, and the attacks of the enemy, we’ve watched him remain steadfast in his yes to Jesus. Willing to be misunderstood, willing to make himself of no reputation, and willing to surrender the need to defend himself, trusting the Father to be his defender. A life that continues to reflect the heart of Jesus, even when obedience comes at a cost.

But the greatest testimony of his yes isn’t found in what he’s built. It’s found in who we are becoming in Christ.

Because you said yes, sons and daughters are discovering their identity, hearts are being transformed, and a family is learning what it means to truly know Jesus.

Pastor Andrew, thank you for seeing beyond who we are today and believing in who the Father has called us to become.

We may never see every sacrifice behind your yes, but we see the fruit of it in our lives.

Because you said yes, so many of us are learning to say yes too.

We love you, we honor you, and we thank the Father for your life.

WHAT IF PRAYER WAS NEVER MEANT TO CHANGE OUR CIRCUMSTANCES, BUT TO ALLOW HIS PRESENCE TO TRANSFORM US?

We were never called to live a life of surface-level prayers, only approaching God when we need something from Him.

Prayer is more than a petition for divine intervention. It is an invitation into intimacy with the Father.

There is a depth in Jesus that goes far beyond our wants, hopes, dreams, and the occasional “God, help me today.”

It’s a place where we stop asking God to bless our plans and begin hearing His heart for our lives. Where His will becomes greater than our desires, His presence greater than our circumstances, and HE becomes the prize, regardless of the outcome.

True intimacy must be cultivated daily until transformation and renewal become the fruit of our communion with Him.

The goal of prayer isn’t simply to leave with an answer. It’s to leave looking more like Jesus.

Tomorrow, Pastor Andrew and Pastor Joshua continue our conversation on PRAYER & INTIMACY, calling us beyond surface level Christianity and into deeper communion with the Father.

To all our Resort Church family and friends, as we enter these final two days of our October fast, I want to encourage you to keep pursuing the heart of the Father.

No matter what the circumstances look like, what trials you face, or what prayers remain unanswered, keep drawing near to Him.

The greatest prize at the end of our fast was never what we could receive from His hand, but how much closer we could grow to His heart.

He was always the prize. He was always the purpose. He was always the goal.

With just two more weeks of fasting in November, let’s finish this journey with grateful hearts, eyes fixed on Jesus, and a deeper love for His presence.

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31

Resort Church family, we are entering our final week of fasting for October! 🍂

From sunup to sundown, Monday through Sunday, we are setting aside the distractions of life to draw closer to the heart of our Father.

This week, remember that fasting isn’t just about what we surrender, but about Who we draw near to. In the waiting, He renews us. In the surrender, He strengthens us. And in His presence, He transforms us.

Don’t grow weary in the process. What God is doing within you is just as beautiful as what you’re believing Him to do around you.

Let’s finish this week with hearts full of faith, thanksgiving, and a deeper love for Jesus.

The greatest reward of our fast will always be more of Him.

Fully Loved. Fully Accepted.

What if the greatest thing God does in this season is drawing us closer to Himself?

In Exodus 19, the Lord reminds His people that He carried them on eagles’ wings and brought them unto Himself, calling them His treasured possession.

I believe that’s exactly what He’s doing during this season of fasting and prayer. Drawing us away from the noise, distractions, and expectations of life so we can rediscover the beauty of simply being with Him.

Even when life looks nothing like we imagined, when heaven seems silent and the future feels uncertain, we have an opportunity to offer Him something beautiful: sacrificial thanksgiving.

Gratitude that doesn’t require an answer. Thanksgiving that isn’t dependent on circumstances. Worship that flows from knowing who He is, even when we cannot see what He is doing.

As Thanksgiving approaches and we prepare for a new year, I believe we will have so much to be thankful for. We will look back and recognize His goodness and kindness in ways we couldn’t see before.

But perhaps the greatest treasure of this fast won’t be what God places in our hands, but what He cultivates in our hearts as we continue to be found at His feet.

Take that hour. Get away with Him. Draw near to His heart. Because the greatest treasure of this season is HIM.

There’s something beautiful that happens when we gather together in His presence.

Hearts are restored, lives are transformed, faith is awakened, and we make room for Holy Spirit to move in ways only He can.

Tomorrow morning, we’re coming together as family to worship Jesus, pray for one another, and believe for healing, freedom, and encounters with the love and power of God.

Come expectant. Come hungry. Come just as you are.

There’s a place for you here, and you are fully loved and fully accepted.

God doesn’t want to add His thoughts on top of our broken thinking. He wants to cut the old thinking out completely.

The lies. The insecurity. The false identity. The way we’ve learned to see ourselves through pain, rejection, failure, or fear.

He wants to remove it and engraft His truth into us until we begin to see ourselves the way He sees us.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Stop trying to fit God’s thoughts into your old mindset. Let Him change the way you think.
