Happy Wednesday!!!

“One Never Knows Enough
To Quit Learning”

It is said about Apollos in Acts Chapter 18, that he was, “An Eloquent Man”, he was, “Mighty In The Scriptures”, he was, “Instructed In The Way Of The Lord”, he was, “Fervent In Spirit”, he, “Spake And Taught Diligently.”

Now That’s Quite A Resume!!! But He Wasn’t So Proud And Arrogant To Quit Trying To Learn More.

Actually in that same chapter, we find where Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos under their wing and the Scripture says, “Expounded Unto Him The Way Of God More Perfectly.”

Proverbs Chapter 27 encourages that very thing:

“Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
‭‭ Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

MY FRIEND, WE NEVER KNOW ENOUGH TO QUIT LEARNING, AND WE HAVE NEVER TAUGHT ENOUGH PEOPLE, ENOUGH THINGS TO QUIT TEACHING!!!

KEEP LEARNING!!!
KEEP TEACHING!!!

Good Morning!!!

“What Is Your Reaction
To Vulgarity?”

I’ve got to brag on one of my grandsons a little bit, but it will make the very point, that I want to make. Him and his siblings were watching something on tv and out comes a cuss word. Before I can even start to say, “change the channel”, he had already changed the channel. I was very glad to see this happen without my prompting him to do so.

Recently, I was on a school bus as they were loading for a ballgame and I heard foul language from the back. Without missing a beat, the coach called the player by name and said, “This is your only warning, if I hear it again, you’ll be outside doing push-ups.”

What is our response to vulgarity? Certainly it should not come from the mouth of a Child of God.

The New Testament tells of the Scribes and Pharisees questioning Jesus over His Disciples not following their man-made tradition of ceremonial washing of the hands before eating and Jesus replied:

“not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A few verses later, Jesus explained:

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.”
‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then we find in James Chapter 3:

“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?”
‭‭ James‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My Friend, From The Mouth Of A “Child Of God”, We Ought To Hear Love, Kindness, Gentleness, Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, And Blessings. But No Matter What The Circumstances Are, We
Should Never Hear Profanity, Vulgarity, Hate, Vengeance, Wrath, Evilness, Immoral Comments, Nor Any Other Cursing Of Another.
LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE FOR JESUS WITH YOUR MOUTH AS WELL AS YOUR LIFE!!!

Happy Friday!!!

“No Changing The Rules
In The Middle Of The Game”

Watching some children play a game and it was quite obvious that a certain little boy was trying to change the rules so that he wasn’t eliminated from the game. But it didn’t work for him.

Without naming names, we probably all know adults who attempt to change the rules of game, in the middle of the game, if it benefits them. But it doesn’t usually work for them either.

Think About This-God gave us His Word as the RULE BOOK OF LIFE. When we try to eliminate, water-down or deem as unnecessary, HIS COMMANDMENTS, we are, in essence, TRYING TO CHANGE THE RULES. But guess what, that will not work either. His Word says:

“and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
‭‭ Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My Friend, GOD’S LAW Is To Live By, Not To Try To Change, Or Alter To Our Liking!!!

Good Morning!!!

“Why Didn’t I Fix This
A Long Time Ago”

For at least a month or six weeks, I’ve been constantly airing up my rear tire on my truck. I’ve done it so much that I now know that it was losing about 7 pounds of pressure per day. Why didn’t I just have it fixed?

I’ve been telling myself that I didn’t have time and that I would do it later. Yes, I’ve been a procrastinator!!!

Unfortunately, a lot of people do that same thing in their Spiritual Lives. They have an issue, maybe some lingering sin, maybe someone they haven’t forgiven, maybe some dread of actually admitting their faults, but whatever the case, they need to fix the problem. Make the Time! Don’t Put It Off Till Later!

Luckily, my tire wasn’t getting any worse, but in our Spiritual Lives, quite often, if we let things go, they get worse and worse, more difficult and then, much more difficult.

My Friend, the Correction of Unrighteousness and Procrastination DO NOT WORK WELL TOGETHER!!! They are like FIRE AND GASOLINE!!!

His Word Plainly Tells Us:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
‭‭ 1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then the very next verse reminds us:

“If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”
‭‭ 1 John‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Some Issues Need Dealt With And Dealt With TODAY!!! Once We’ve Done That, The Relief Will Be So Great That We’ll Probably Say To Our Self, “WHY DIDN’T I FIX THIS A LONG TIME AGO!”

Good Morning!!!

“Don’t Let Your Light
Remain Burned Out”

This morning I met at least two different commercial trucks with a headlight burned out. Headlights do burn out, but legally, those vehicles were supposed to be inspected before being driven so that issues like that are found. Then obviously, the light shouldn’t be left “burned out.”

As a Child of God, sometimes our “Light” burns out, not our headlight, but our “Spiritual Light.”

Uncontrollable Circumstances, Traumatic Events and even our own Moral Failures can cause our “Spiritual Light” to get really dim, if not completely burned out. Those things happen, but “Don’t Let Your Light Remain Burned Out.”

We need to openly inspect the outward attitude of our lives and when we find that the pressures of life have forced our “Spiritual Light” to go out, we need to fall on our knees before a Holy God and ask Him to “Renew A Right Spirit” within us that our “Spiritual Light” may begin to burn brightly again.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.”
‭‭ Psalm‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My Friend, Sometimes Our Spiritual Life Needs A Little Maintenance For That Light To Remain Burning!!!
