Happy Wednesday!!!

“Setting Our Goals High Enough,
That We Must TRULY GROW
To Achieve Them”

I want to begin with a challenging quote:

“Be Hard On Yourself And Easy On Others. Carry Your Own Cross But Never Lay One On The Back Of Another.”
A.W. Tozer

The Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and even Godly Servants led by the Holy Spirit, often challenge us to grow in our Walk With The Lord.

I Love This Quote From A.W. Tozer, It First, speaks of being hard on ourselves. He is saying that in terms of the Goals, Standards, Principles and Convictions that we strive to live by.

Quite Frankly, if we never “Set A Goal” high enough to make ourselves get out of our “Comfort Zone” to achieve it, we’ll never have anything more than minimal growth in our lives. The Apostle Paul worded it like this:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭ Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭

Secondly, A.W. Tozer speaks of being, “Easy On Others.” And then he goes on to make the point that we are to, “Carry Our Own Cross”, but to, “Never Lay One On The Back Of Another.”

In other words, THE BURDEN THAT THE LORD IS CURRENTLY CHALLENGING US WITH, MAY NOT BE FOR OUR BROTHER OR SISTER AT THIS TIME. AND WE SHOULDN’T LAY OUR PERSONAL CONVICTIONS UPON THEM.

My Friend, As A.W. Tozer Has Challenged Us, Let’s Be Tough On Ourselves As Far As Us Conforming To What The Holy Spirit Has Lead Us To Do And Become, Not Being Afraid Of Stepping Out Of Our Comfort Zone.

SO MY FRIEND—LET JESUS TURN YOUR DOUBTS, WORRIES AND CONCERNS INTO PEACE, CONFIDENCE, AND ASSURANCE.

But with God, all things are possible

Good Morning!!!

“Letting Your Faith Show Outside
Of The Walls Of The Church”

This morning I came across a picture that I just really appreciated. The picture was of the Los Angeles Dodgers First Basemen Freddie Freeman with his arm around the St Louis Cardinals New Rookie Catcher Leo Bernal, congratulating him on first ever Major League Hit. They were obviously on opposing teams, but that didn’t stop Freddie Freeman from being kind. According to Google, He has often been known as one of Major League Baseball’s Classiest Player.

That kindness that Freddie Freeman shows is most likely from his faith and relationship in the Lord Jesus Christ.

According to “Sports & Faith”, Freddie made this statement, “I pray before every game, I do everything I can for him . . . I just make sure I put God First and not let temptations get in front of me.”

In an interview highlighted by “Movieguide”, Freeman stated, “He’s at the forefront of everything. It’s a big part of who I am and what I want to exude to other people . . . Christ means a lot to me.”

Praise the Lord for men like this who aren’t ashamed to share their Faith in Jesus, even on a big stage.

What about us? Do people in our world, (work, school, groups, clubs, organizations, family, friends and neighbors) know of our “Relationship With Jesus Christ” outside of the four walls of the Church?

Jesus said:

“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.”
‭‭ Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Apostle Paul put it like this:

“according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.”
‭‭ Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My Friend, We Need To Let Jesus Shine In Our Words, Our Actions, Our Attitude And In Our Confidence.

In John 3:30, It’s Stated Like This, “HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.”
