🔍 Wait… Did Jesus Actually Say That?
We’ve all heard them. They’re on the coffee mugs, the bumper stickers, and the "sympathy" cards we get when life falls apart:
"God helps those who help themselves."
"Everything happens for a reason."
"This too shall pass."
They sound holy. They look like Scripture. We call them "Biblish." But here's the kicker: None of those phrases are actually in the Bible. Join us at Fredericktown UMC for our current worship series: "WHO SAID THAT?"
We’re taking an eraser to the myths we’ve grown up with and doing some "Theological Fact-Checking." Whether you’ve read the Bible a hundred times or you’ve never even opened the cover, this series is for you. We aren't just looking to see who said what, we’re looking for the life-changing truth that actually holds weight when the "Biblish" phrases fail us.
