✨ Staff Intern Highlight: Ella Coy ✨
Meet Ella, our Guest Services & Social Media Intern.

Ella supports our staff by creating social media content, sharing stories of what God is doing at Fortville Nazarene, and developing systems that help us connect with both new visitors and longtime members. Her creativity, organization, and heart for people help others feel seen, welcomed, and connected.

When asked why she loves serving at Fortville Nazarene, Ella shared:
“It’s more than a church—it’s family. I’ve been blessed to call this place home since I was an infant, and the mentorship, encouragement, and love I’ve received here have helped shape who I am today.”

Outside of church, Ella works in healthcare, where she gets to live out her passion for serving and caring for others. She describes herself as being “powered by Jesus, coffee, and an overcommitted calendar.”

📖 Favorite Scripture:
“God is within her, she will not fail.” — Psalm 46:5

We are so grateful for Ella’s heart for ministry, hospitality, and service. Through her work behind the scenes and her passion for helping others feel connected, she plays an important role in making Fortville Nazarene a place where people feel welcomed, known, and loved.

Sometimes we expect God to move in the big moments, but often He speaks in the quiet, ordinary parts of our day.
A simple prayer.
A kind word.
A moment of worship in the car.
A reminder that He’s still with you.

No matter what this week has looked like, God’s faithfulness has not changed. He is still making a way, still giving strength, and still working behind the scenes even when we can’t see it yet.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:22-23

Take a moment today to thank God for new mercy, fresh grace, and another opportunity to walk with Him.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the true meaning of courage, freedom, and love.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we never forget those who paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

From all of us at Fortville Nazarene, we pray God’s peace and blessing over our military families and our nation today.

✨Meet Rachel Blair — a familiar face in our worship ministry here at Fortville Church of the Nazarene! ✨

Rachel serves alongside her husband, Pastor Johnnie helping lead worship and create an atmosphere where people can encounter Jesus. She has a deep passion for music ministry, helping choose weekly set lists, and most importantly, loving people and reaching the lost.

What Rachel loves most about our church is “the AMAZING people (my church family!) and the way you can walk in and immediately feel welcomed, embraced, and at home.”

Outside church Rachel and Pastor Johnnie stay busy with their big blended family of 7 amazing children and 4 precious grandchildren — and they wouldn’t have it any other way!

A few fun facts about Rachel:

* Her porch goose “Sassy” apparently has a larger wardrobe than Johnnie 🤣
* She’s a self-proclaimed “Jesus Freak”
* Loves music, fashion, shopping, rollercoasters, coffee runs, and quality time with family & friends
* Favorite color: PINK
* Favorite drinks: A Sea Salt Carmelicious with an extra espresso shot or an Iced Red Bull Infusion Apocalypse from Scooter’s Coffee
* Favorite foods: The Melting Pot and Japanese hibachi

Rachel shares—“I just want to be a bright light to all who cross my path!”
