🌿 VBS Days Three & Four! 🌿

These past two days, we learned what it means to let God restore our souls. Through Psalm 23, we talked about the things that leave us feeling weary and how God meets us in those places, restores our strength, and equips us to pour back into others. ❤️

Getting to worship, laugh, play, and build relationships with these kids has been such a gift. We came to pour into them, but God continues to remind us that He is restoring us, too. 🙏🏽🇰🇪

🌊 VBS Day Two! 🌊

Today we learned about Jesus calming the storm and what it looks like to have peace and trust God—even when life feels anything but peaceful.

What started as a fun, interactive skit of Jesus in the boat with His disciples ended with our teens circled up in small groups, sharing real-life examples of how Jesus meets them and calms the storms in their own lives. ❤️

What a powerful day of learning to trust Jesus through every storm.

And of course… we had a LOT of fun along the way! 🙌🏽

Today, a team from Mercy Road Northeast is traveling to Nairobi, Kenya, to serve alongside our global ministry partner, Giving Back Hope Together (GBHT).

Together with the local GBHT staff and volunteers, they’ll help lead a week-long Vacation Bible School for 500–600 children living in Nairobi.

Would you join us in praying for our team?

🙏 Pray for strength and good health.
🙏 Pray for meaningful relationships with the children and local leaders.
🙏 Pray that every child experiences the love of Christ and that lives are transformed through the Gospel.

Underground Jesus is our annual series calling us to join the 2,000-year-old movement of Jesus. Church is more than a building, music, preaching, or coffee. The early church was a Spirit-filled movement of ordinary people who allowed God to use their everyday lives to do extraordinary things.

Over these five weeks, we will explore what it means to be discipled, live on mission, embrace our motto, follow the model of Jesus, and join a growing movement. Our prayer is that we would move beyond simply attending church and say yes to following Jesus, making disciples, and bringing His hope and healing wherever He sends us.
