Today at church felt less like an event and more like stepping into a living room filled with family, laughter, little footsteps, hugs, and the kind of warmth that settles deep in your soul. The laughter of children, the strength of mothers, and the beauty of generations worshipping together made today feel a little like heaven brushing against earth, and carried the heartbeat of what the early church must have felt like.
Before leaving for a much needed three-month sabbatical, Pastor Curt and his family poured into us one final reminder: church was never meant to exist only inside four walls. Worship happens around dinner tables, in living rooms, over coffee, in prayer circles, and in the everyday moments where people gather together in Jesus’ name.
Acts 2:42-43 reminds us: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… Everyone was filled with awe.
That spirit was alive today.
The testimonies shared about the Edmondson family painted such a beautiful picture of the last six years at Emerge Church. Story after story reflected the love, sacrifice, encouragement, and genuine care Pastor Curt and his family have poured into people. You could feel how deeply they’ve impacted lives, not just from the pulpit, but through conversations, prayers, meals, late nights, hard seasons, celebrations, and simply showing up for people again and again. Their calling to pour into others has become part of the foundation and heartbeat of Emerge Church. ❤️
What a beautiful gift Pastor Curt left in our hands and hearts through The Circle Maker and Experiencing God. Not just books sitting on a shelf, but invitations. Invitations to pray boldly, study deeply, gather intentionally, and grow closer to God together in small groups and homes across our community. Seeds planted for something bigger than Sunday mornings. 📖✨
Praying this season of rest refreshes Pastor Curt and his family completely, while the church continues to grow stronger through fellowship, worship, and walking alongside one another in faith.
