This reminds me of the biblical warnings found in the days of King Ahab and in the story of Lot, S***m, and Gomorrah. Scripture repeatedly warns us what can happen when a society abandons God’s standards and begins calling good evil and evil good.

As a Christian, I believe we must examine the direction of our culture carefully. The devaluing of innocent life, efforts to redefine traditional biblical teachings on sexuality and family, and political ideologies that place increasing faith in government rather than God should concern believers.

This is bigger than Republicans and Democrats. It is a spiritual battle over values, truth, and the direction of our society.

Scripture teaches that there will be a separation of the wheat from the tares. We should therefore be careful about what we embrace, what we normalize, and where we stand.

The spirit of evil is real. Christians cannot afford to become complacent, distracted, or silent.

Stay prayerful. Stay discerning. Stand firmly on the Word of God.

Wake up, Christian soldiers. Be watchful. Be faithful. Be courageous. ✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸

We must pray for the renewing and transformation of the minds of those who have strayed from sound biblical teaching.

This is personal for me. Pastor Jamal Bryant’s father, the Rt. Rev. Bishop John R. Bryant, ordained me into ministry. I have tremendous respect for Bishop Bryant and the spiritual leadership he represented in my life.

That is why it grieves me when I hear teaching from Jamal that, in my judgment, departs from the biblical principles I was taught and believe.

We are commanded to test what is preached against the Word of God. A preacher’s popularity, political influence, congregation size, or family legacy can never become a substitute for biblical truth.

I believe Jamal has lost his way on these matters, and I pray that God renews his mind and redirects his ministry. I would caution any church—including New Birth—against allowing political ideology, cultural trends, or worldly influence to become more authoritative than Scripture.

My disagreement is not rooted in hatred. It is rooted in my conviction that Christian leaders carry an enormous responsibility before God.

We should pray for Pastor Bryant rather than hate him. Pray for discernment. Pray for repentance where repentance is necessary. Pray for the Church. And most importantly, let us make sure that everything we believe and teach remains centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in the Word of God.

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

🙏🏾 Pray for our pastors. Pray for our churches. Pray for discernment. And stand firmly on biblical truth.
