“A soft answer turneth away wrath…” — Proverbs 15:1

RESPONDING WITH WISDOM

You may encounter difficult conversations, misunderstandings, or moments when emotions rise quickly. Words spoken carelessly can wound relationships, deepen conflict, and create damage that lingers long after the moment passes. Emotional reactions often feel powerful in the moment but can leave regret afterward.

But wisdom teaches restraint, gentleness, and self-control. God’s Spirit helps His people respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively. Strength is not always loud or forceful; often it is revealed through calmness, patience, humility, and wise speech. A heart governed by wisdom brings peace where conflict could have easily grown.

Reflection
Where do you need greater wisdom and self-control in your responses to others?

A Prayer for Wise Speech

Father, help me speak with wisdom, grace, and self-control. Guard my words and teach me to respond in ways that reflect Your character. Help me bring peace instead of unnecessary conflict. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are held.

**Walk With Me on the Road to Calvary**

In this powerful message, *Walk With Me on the Road to Calvary*, we journey alongside Jesus as He carries the cross toward His crucifixion. Drawing from The Gospel of Luke (NIV), we witness Christ’s compassion even in the midst of His suffering, as He turns to comfort the grieving women of Jerusalem. This sermon challenges us to consider the cost of redemption, the depth of God’s love, and our response to Christ’s sacrifice. As we walk the road to Calvary with Jesus, we are invited to embrace repentance, faith, and a deeper commitment to follow Him.

Scripture for Reflection
“Bear ye one another’s burdens…” — Galatians 6:2

YOU WERE NOT MEANT TO WALK ALONE
You may sometimes feel pressure to handle every struggle privately and independently. Pain, discouragement, and emotional burdens can become heavier when carried in isolation. Many people try to appear strong while quietly exhausting themselves beneath hidden weight and unspoken struggles.

But God did not design His people to live disconnected from one another. Healthy community brings encouragement, accountability, wisdom, comfort, and support during difficult seasons. Strength is not found in pretending to need no one; true strength often grows through humility, openness, and shared burdens. God frequently ministers to people through the presence, prayers, and care of others.

Reflection
Who has God placed in your life for encouragement, support, or accountability?

A Prayer for Community
Father, thank You for the people You place in my life. Help me to walk in healthy community and not isolate myself in difficult seasons. Teach me both to give and receive support with humility and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are held!

Scripture for Reflection
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8

A HEART THAT STAYS CLEAN
You may live in a world filled with distractions, temptations, and influences that slowly pull the heart away from God. Spiritual drift rarely happens suddenly—it often begins through small compromises, neglected devotion, and gradual shifts in priorities. What once felt spiritually important can slowly lose its place when the heart becomes crowded with lesser things.

But God calls His people to maintain purity of heart, sincerity, and closeness with Him. Purity is not perfection; it is a heart that continually returns to God with honesty, humility, and surrender. As you guard your heart and remain sensitive to His voice, spiritual clarity and intimacy with God continue to grow stronger over time.

Reflection
What distractions or compromises may be weakening your spiritual focus?

A Prayer of Purity
Father, keep my heart clean before You. Help me to guard my thoughts, desires, and priorities so that I remain close to You. Draw me deeper into sincerity and obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are held!

In a time when authority is often abused and truth is compromised, believers are faced with a critical question: Should we submit to ungodly leadership? In this powerful lesson, Associate Pastor Kenneth Harrell explores the tension between honoring authority and obeying God above all else. Drawing from Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men,” and Matthew 28:18, which declares Christ’s supreme authority, this message will challenge believers to discern when submission becomes compromise. Learn how to walk in wisdom, humility, and boldness while remaining faithful to God’s Word, even when earthly leadership conflicts with divine truth and righteousness.

Scripture for Reflection
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee…” — Isaiah 26:3

PEACE FOR THE TROUBLED MIND
You may find your thoughts constantly racing with worries, fears, responsibilities, or unanswered questions. An unsettled mind can quietly drain spiritual strength and emotional stability, making it difficult to rest, focus, or remain emotionally steady. Anxiety often grows louder when the heart tries to carry tomorrow before it arrives.

But God offers peace that is deeper than temporary calm. His peace guards the heart and steadies the mind when life feels uncertain and overwhelming. Peace grows where trust remains focused on Him rather than controlled by fear or endless overthinking. You do not have to live consumed by inner turmoil when God continues inviting you into deeper trust and rest.

Reflection
What thoughts or worries have been consuming your mind recently?

A Prayer of Peace
Father, quiet my mind and settle my heart. Help me to focus on You instead of fear and uncertainty. Fill me with Your peace and teach me to trust You more deeply. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You Are Held!

Scripture for Reflection
“Let us not be weary in well doing…” — Galatians 6:9

DO NOT GROW WEARY

You may feel tired from continually trying to do what is right while waiting to see visible results. Faithfulness can sometimes feel unnoticed, exhausting, or slow, especially when progress appears hidden beneath the surface. Seasons of waiting often test endurance more deeply than seasons of activity.

But God sees every act of obedience, every quiet sacrifice, and every moment of perseverance. Spiritual weariness often grows when people focus only on visible outcomes instead of God’s ongoing work beneath the surface. Remain faithful. What is planted in obedience will eventually produce fruit in its season, even when growth cannot yet be seen clearly.

Reflection
Where have you been tempted to become discouraged or give up?

A Prayer of Endurance

Father, strengthen me when I feel weary. Help me remain faithful, steady, and obedient even when results are not immediate. Renew my endurance and keep my heart aligned with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are held.
