Yesterday Ps Dom helped us with some Biblical truth around tithing.
The world teaches us to ask:
“What do I want to do with MY money?”
The Bible teaches us to ask:
“How does GOD want me to steward what He’s given me?”
🌎 WORLD: “It’s your money. You earned it.”
📖 WORD: Everything belongs to God. — Psalm 24:1
🌎 WORLD: “Take care of yourself first.”
📖 WORD: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits. — Proverbs 3:9
🌎 WORLD: “Giving 10% is financially irresponsible.”
📖 WORD: Biblical stewardship requires wisdom, planning, and faithfulness. — Proverbs 21:5
🌎 WORLD: “Churches only want your money.”
📖 WORD: Biblical giving should be handled with integrity and accountability. — 2 Corinthians 8:20–21
🌎 WORLD: “Only give when you feel moved.”
📖 WORD: Giving should be intentional, consistent, and planned. — 1 Corinthians 16:2
🌎 WORLD: “If I give, what do I get in return?”
📖 WORD: Give from your heart—not reluctantly or under pressure. God loves a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Tithing isn’t just about money—it’s about the heart. ❤️
God isn’t trying to get something FROM you. He’s teaching you to trust Him WITH everything.
Don’t let your circumstances dictate your obedience.
When we understand that everything we have belongs to God, the question changes from “How much do I have to give?” to “God, how do You want me to steward what You’ve placed in my hands?”
It’s not just about 10%.
It’s about TRUST.
It’s about OBEDIENCE.
It’s about putting GOD FIRST. 🙌
