It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our own, Melissa Butterworth.
From the very beginning of Elevate City, Melissa was more than a member she was a builder, a leader, and an essential part of the foundation of this church. Alongside Pastor Kyle and her sister Bethany, she helped launch Elevate City and faithfully served from day one. Her fingerprints are all over the ministry we are blessed to call home today.
Melissa had a heart for people and a passion for serving God. She invested countless hours into helping others, encouraging those around her, and building the Kingdom of God. Her love, faithfulness, and servant’s heart impacted more lives than we will ever fully know this side of heaven.
While we grieve this tremendous loss, we also celebrate a life that was fully devoted to Christ. Melissa’s faith was genuine, unwavering, and inspiring. Today, we find comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of her Savior, healed, whole, and at peace. Because of her faith in Jesus, we have the hope of seeing her again.
Please join us in praying for Pastor Kyle, Bethany, her brother Phil, parents Mike, Kristy, and the entire family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that you continue to surround them with your love, prayers, and support in the days ahead.
