Today’s Blog… Before The Words Come Out
Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer.”
Words can leave our mouth so quickly. Many times, we wish we could pull them right back in. And today, it is not only the words we speak out loud. We also need to be careful with the words we write, text, post, and share.
Sometimes we speak from love. Sometimes we speak from hurt, frustration, worry, or tiredness. That is why Psalm 19:14 is such a good verse to keep close to our heart. It is a simple prayer we can say at the beginning of the day, before a hard conversation, or even before we respond too quickly.
When we hear God’s Word over and over again, it begins to stay with us. It reminds us to slow down, think, and ask, “Will these words please the Lord?”
And then there are our thoughts. Sometimes our thoughts can run ahead of us, especially when we are worried, upset, or replaying something in our mind. What we dwell on inside often shows up in what we say outside.
Before the words come out, we can ask God to guide what is going on inside our hearts and minds. Because our words often begin there before they ever reach our lips.
Before I speak, I can pause and ask, “Lord, will this please You?”
Before I get lost in my thoughts, I can ask, “Lord, help me think on what is good, true, and pleasing to You.”
Prayer: Lord, help my thoughts and words be pleasing to You. Let my life be a gentle example of Your love to others. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, Amen.

In Very Good Hands…
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. -Psalm 121:2
I would say we are in very good hands when we believe this verse.
When we need help, who is the first person we call? Some may call a spouse. Some may call their dad or mom. Others may call that one friend they know they can depend on. It is a blessing to have people in our lives who love us, care for us, and help us when we need them. God often places those people in our lives as a gift.
But our true help comes from the Lord. He is the One who hears us when we call. He is the One who strengthens us when we feel weak. He is the One who guides us when we do not know what to do.
There is nothing wrong with leaning on the people we love, but what a difference it makes when we go to God first.
There have been many times in life when things did not look like they would turn out well. But through prayer, faith, and trusting God, I believe the outcome was better because I placed it in His hands.
Remember - Trust God… Call on Him first… Rely on Him… He is always listening and is always willing to help.
Prayer: Father, help me to always look to You first for help. Teach me to trust You more each day and to remember that my true help comes from You. In Jesus’ precious and holy Name I pray, Amen.

Stand With The Father
“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” - Ephesians 6:12
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin entered the world, and everything changed. The world was no longer perfect, and people began facing struggles of every kind.
Some battles are physical. Some are emotional. Some are spiritual.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that not every battle can be seen with our eyes. There is a real enemy, and believers need to be prepared. That is why Paul tells us to put on the armor of God.
We do not have to face spiritual battles in our own strength. We can stand firm because God is with us.
Be ready. Be prepared. Be suited up. But most of all, do not stand alone. Stand with the Father.
Prayer: Lord, help me remember that I do not fight my battles alone. Teach me to put on Your armor each day and stand strong in Your truth. Give me wisdom, courage, and peace as I walk with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

All God’s Beautiful Creatures
“But ask the animals, now, and they will teach you; the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you. The fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who doesn’t know that in all these, the Lord’s hand has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?”
God’s creation is full of wonder. From the birds in the sky to the fish in the sea, every creature reminds us that God is the Creator of all things. He made the tiny butterfly, the faithful dog, the soft kitten, the deer in the woods, and the birds singing in the trees.
Animals can teach us more than we sometimes realize. They don’t worry about tomorrow. They live one day at a time, trusting the care God has built into creation. Some can sense storms, danger, sickness, or changes around them in ways we cannot understand. Every creature has a purpose. Every detail shows God’s wisdom. When we slow down and look around, creation points us back to Him.
So today, take a moment to notice God’s beautiful world. Watch the birds. Enjoy the flowers. Smile at a playful puppy. Notice the butterfly fluttering by. All around us, creation is quietly saying, “Look what the Lord has made.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for all Your beautiful creatures. Thank You for butterflies, birds, puppies, kittens, wildlife, and every living thing You have made. Help me slow down and notice the beauty of Your creation. Let my heart be reminded that Your hand is over all things, and every breath comes from You. In Jesus’ most precious and holy Name I pray, Amen.
