In honor of our Mass of Rededication for Sacred Heart Church this Saturday, we wanted to share with you some photos from the construction and Dedication Mass of Sacred Heart nearly 50 years ago.

Construction began in October 1977 and was completed the following summer. The first Mass was offered in Sacred Heart on July 22,1978 and the church was dedicated on August 27, 1978.

We hope that you will join us this Saturday at 4:00 pm to celebrate what will surely be a historic occasion. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Grob, who will be joined by our Holy Family priests and former priests from our parish. Please remember that when you participate in the dedication or rededication of a church, it is an opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence. To read more about plenary indulgences and how to receive them, please visit hffdl.org/sh-renovation

Some places become part of our story.

They are where we celebrate life's joys, seek comfort in times of sorrow, offer prayers for those we love, and encounter Christ in the Eucharist.
Sacred Heart Church has been that place for generations of faithful people in our community.

As we prepare for the Rededication Mass this Saturday, we give thanks for the renewal of this beloved church and look forward to gathering together to celebrate this important moment in the life of our parish.
We invite you to take a moment to watch this video and reflect on the beauty, history, and faith that continue to make Sacred Heart Church such a special place.

Did you know that when you attend the Sacred Heart Church Rededication Mass this Saturday, you have the possibility of receiving a plenary indulgence?

On the occasion of a church or altar dedication, the Church grants a plenary indulgence to the faithful who devoutly participate in the sacred rites and fulfill certain conditions. You can read more about this in a letter from Deacon Marty Ryan athttps://www.hffdl.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/RYan-MArtin_-Deacon-Plenary-indulgences-Final-v2.pdf

Looking for a way to give back this summer? ❤

The Knights of Columbus are getting ready for Walleye Weekend and could use some extra helping hands along the way. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, support a wonderful ministry, and be part of one of Fond du Lac's favorite summer traditions.

If you've been looking for a simple way to get involved, this might be it! To volunteer, please visit https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/981325056036/false #/invitation

Thank you to everyone who helps make events like this possible.

Novena to the Sacred Heart Day 8
In a world that tells us to seek recognition, Jesus teaches us another way: gentleness, humility, and love. May we learn from His Sacred Heart and strive to make our hearts more like His.

How often do we take the time to truly think about the miracle that is taking place in the Eucharist? Sometimes, we can get caught up in the day-to-day of life and we lose sight of the extraordinary things happening in front of us, none more amazing than the Blessed Sacrament, in which Christ is truly present.

We invite you to reflect on this gift and offer your gratitude for it. One place you can do so is at our Sacred Heart Adoration Chapel, open every day from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm, except during Mass and funerals.
