Wow—you showed up BIG! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we collected a record-breaking 107 backpacks, along with lots of much-needed school supplies!

After receiving a blessing on Sunday, August 9, the backpacks were delivered to Family Promise in Philadelphia and Family Promise of Montco PA, where they’ll be distributed to local school children.

Thank you for helping kids in need start the school year ready to learn!

Join us in person or online this August for “Christianity without Christian Zionism: Proclaiming the Gospel, Pursuing Justice, Rekindling Hope.” This free gathering, held at the Presbyterian Center in Louisville, Kentucky, will provide the setting to engage the biblical narrative of God’s love, grace and mercy, while examining the destructive narrative of Christian Zionism. It’s almost back-to-school time!

Once again, we are helping young students in need get a strong start to the school year with our annual Backpack & School Supply Drive. Together with Springfield's Opportunity to Serve (SOS), this drive will benefit Family Promise Montco PA and Family Promise of Philadelphia.

We’re asking for donations of one or more new backpacks and new school supplies for elementary students in kindergarten through second grade.

Suggested supplies include:
• Wide-ruled composition notebooks
• 24-count boxes of crayons
• No. 2 pencils
• Fiskars scissors
• Washable markers

Drop-Off: Backpacks and supplies may be dropped off at church from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Look for the collection boxes with the FPCS sign in the lobby.

Donation Deadline: Sunday, August 9 (Supplies by August 2)
