Verse of the Day
“O Lord, all my longing is before you; my sighing is not hidden from you.” Psalm 38:9

There are times when you can explain what you feel, but there are times when you have no words and all you can do is sigh. You are not a lone in that, David knew that feeling as well. He brought his guilt, his weakness, his pain, and his longing before the Lord because he knew God was not unaware of any of it.

Let that be a comfort for you today. You may not know how to put everything into words, but the Lord is already listening before you even have the words to tell Him what is hurting you.

So bring Him your longing or your sigh. Bring Him the part you do not know even know how to say out loud yet. And simply trust that He already knows.

Verse of the Day
Luke 12:8

Jesus is very clear here. Following Him is not something we hide away in the parts of our life where it feels safe.

There will be moments when it would be easier to stay quiet, blend in, or to let people assume whatever they want so we do not have to feel awkward or uncomfortable. But Jesus says His people acknowledge Him.

Now, that does not mean being loud just to be loud. It simply means being faithful, speaking His name, standing on His Word, and living in a way that makes it clear where your hope is found.

So today, do not be ashamed of Christ. In your home, at work, with your friends, around people who may not agree with you, acknowledge Him.

He is worth being known for.

Verse of the Day
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

Romans 10 is a reminder that nobody comes to faith because they finally heard the right preacher, the right argument, or the right emotional appeal. Faith comes through the Word of Christ.

That does not mean every person who hears the gospel automatically believes. We know better than that. People can sit in church, hear Scripture, listen to sermons, and still not really hear what God is saying.

That is why we pray. Because only God can open the heart. Only God can take His Word and make a sinner see the beauty of Christ.

So do not stop sharing the gospel. Do not stop opening the Bible with your children. Do not stop praying for that person who seems like they will never listen.

God still uses His Word. And when He gives understanding, faith comes.

Verse of the Day
“You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst.” Nehemiah 9:20

Nehemiah 9 is looking back over Israel’s story, and it is not a story of how faithful they had been. Instead, it is a story of how kind God had been.

They wandered, complained, doubted, and still God did not abandon them. He gave His Spirit to instruct them. He gave manna when they were hungry. He gave water when they were thirsty. That is the kind of God we serve.

He is not careless with His people. He knows what we need, teaches us when we are stubborn, provides when we are empty, and keeps showing mercy longer than we deserve.

And in Christ, we see His kindness most clearly. God did not just give bread in the wilderness. He gave His Son for sinners. So today, look back and remember. The Lord has been kinder than we know.

Verse of the Day
“Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.” Ezekiel 37:5

Ezekiel is standing in a valley full of dry bones, and from a human perspective, there is nothing there but death. But God is not limited by anything and He gives us a clear picture of Him doing something that only He can do.

He tells Ezekiel to speak His Word over those bones, and life comes where nobody would have expected it. That is the hope we have in Christ. God brings dead sinners to life, restores what sin has broken, and still works in places that look too dry, too far gone, or too empty.

So do not let what you see today make you forget who God is. He is still the God who brings life to dry bones

Verse of the Day
“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere” James 3:17

Believe it or not, not every thought that sounds wise is actually from God.

James says wisdom from above has a certain shape to it. It is pure as well as gentle. It makes peace, listens and shows mercy. Most importantly, Godly wisdom bears good fruit. That is the kind of wisdom Jesus gives, because that is the kind of wisdom Jesus lived.

That should make you stop you and ask, “Is the wisdom I am living by making me more like Jesus, or just more like the world around me?”

Today, ask the Lord for wisdom that comes from Him. Not just wisdom that can win arguments, but wisdom that reflects Christ.

Verse of the Day
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

There are those days when you do not need someone to explain the pain away. You just need to know you are not alone in it.

Psalm 34 reminds us that the Lord comes close to His hurting people. He sees the grief you simply do not know how to express. He knows the weight you have been carrying. One of the greatest things about Him is that He is not asking you to pretend you are fine before you come to Him.

That is the comfort of the gospel. Jesus came near to broken people, and He still does. So today, bring Him the hurt because, He is near.
