(10) For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

Detroit business owners: next Wednesday, we're going to talk about two sides of the same problem.

At 1:00 PM, Business Wisdom Network presents:

Billion Dollar Business Secrets: Unconventional Wisdom for Sustaining and Scaling

Here's one of the principles we're going to wrestle with:

If the piece price is wrong, volume won't make it right. It just increases the deficit.

Then at 2:00 PM, I shift from scaling to ownership with Johnson Consulting Group International:

AI Masterclass: Whoever Owns the Data Owns the Future. Sacred Codes™ to Grow Your Business

A lot of people are teaching entrepreneurs how to use AI. I want to make sure we also understand what AI runs on, who owns it, and what happens to the value our businesses create.

Two hours. Two questions.

How do you build something worth scaling?
What do you need to own while you scale it?

Wednesday, October 14
National Microloan Conference
Hollywood Casino Greektown, Detroit
Salon D, beginning at 1:00 PM

Today is a special day.

This afternoon, I will be honored with the Trailblazer Award at the 13th Black Tie Ball of T-Lab Accelerated Learning Centers at Oakland University.

I am humbled by the recognition and deeply grateful to Dr. Clarence Nixon and the entire T-Lab family.

The theme for this year’s celebration is:

“Elevating Excellence: Moving Forward with Purpose.”
Philippians 3:14

That language means something to me.

There are moments in life when you pause long enough to recognize that whatever trail you have been privileged to walk, somebody helped clear the ground before you ever arrived.

So today, I am grateful.

Grateful for family.
Grateful for mentors.
Grateful for those who prayed.
Grateful for those who opened doors.
Grateful for those who expected more from me.

And especially today, I am grateful for organizations like T-Lab that are investing in the young people coming behind us.

Please take a moment to learn more about the important work of T-Lab:

www.tlab-global.org

I’ll share more after the celebration.

Today, I am just going to receive the moment.

To God be the glory. 🙏🏾

GRADES ARE UP…
BUT ARE STUDENTS READY?

We’re having the conversation most people avoid.

🎙️ New episode with Dr. Clarence Nixon:
👉 A Crisis of Competence

We break down:
• Why “A” students still struggle
• The difference between confidence and competence
• What it really takes to succeed

This one will challenge how you think about education.

There’s a difference between being known… and being needed.

In this short clip from the Empowered for Destiny Podcast, John Henderson, serial entrepreneur and ordained elder, shares why he prioritizes relationships over reputation — and how that mindset has shaped his success in both ministry and the marketplace.

Many of us spend years trying to build a name.
But the real question is: are we building people?

🎥 Watch this clip and let it challenge your thinking.

💬 Question:
Have relationships or reputation played a bigger role in your journey?
