The Way Back | 2 Chronicles 7:14

Sometimes we look at everything happening around us and ask, “What has happened to the world?”

But maybe the church also needs to ask:

“What has happened to us?”

Because even a church can lose its way too.

In Solomon’s prayer at the dedication of the temple, he understood that God’s people could get off track—but he also understood that there is a way back.

Before God ever said, “If My people…”Solomon had already prayed for a people who would recognize where they had gone wrong, repent, and turn back to God.

This message, The Way Back, reminds us that the healing we want to see around us must first begin within us.

They knew His family.
They knew where He came from.
They knew Him as Joseph’s son.
They thought they knew Him.

In Luke 4:14–30, Jesus returns from the wilderness in the power of the Spirit and makes His way home to Nazareth. At first, the people marvel at His words. But when His message challenges their expectations and reminds them that God's grace reaches beyond their circle, admiration quickly turns into rejection.

Sometimes familiarity can make us believe that what we know about someone… is all there is to know.

🎙️ When the Devil Says “If”**

Have you ever dealt with an **“if”** question?

*If I hadn’t made that mistake…*
*If I had chosen differently…*
*If I were good enough…*
*If God really cares…*

Sometimes one little word—**“if”**—is all it takes to get us off track.

In Luke 4:1–13, the Father had already declared who Jesus was: **“You are My beloved Son.”** But in the wilderness, the devil came with a question:

**“If You are the Son of God…”**

The strategy is simple: take what has already been settled and put a question mark behind it.

In Episode 12 of our **Journey Through the Gospel of Luke**, we talk about identity, temptation, shortcuts, compromise, and why you don’t have to answer every “if.”

🎙️ The Day Heaven Opened | Episode 11

Before Jesus performed a miracle, gathered the crowds, or faced the
wilderness, the Father declared:

“You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” — Luke 3:22 NKJV

🎙️ A Voice in the Wilderness | Luke 3:1–20

A voice emerges from the wilderness with a message that is simple, direct, and still relevant today.

Prepare your heart.

In Episode 10 of our Journey Through the Gospel of Luke, we meet John the Baptist—a man sent by God to prepare people for the coming of Jesus.

John's message was about more than simply feeling sorry for sin. Genuine repentance means turning toward God—and when the heart truly changes, eventually the life will show it.

And John's message leaves us with a question worth asking:

“Lord, what needs to change in me?”

Check Your Weapons | 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Before you go any farther, check what you’re carrying.

In 2 Corinthians 10, Paul reminds us that although we live in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. As believers, we cannot fight spiritual battles with carnal weapons.

Anger.
Bitterness.
Retaliation.
Unforgiveness.
The need to get even.

These may be weapons the world taught us to use, but they are not the weapons God has given us.

In this message, “Check Your Weapons,” Dr. Charles Brown challenges us to examine how we respond when conflict comes.

Paul teaches us to check how we fight, understand the purpose of our spiritual weapons, take our thoughts captive, and examine our obedience to Christ.

The weapons of our warfare are not designed to destroy people—they are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

And sometimes what one person refuses to put down can slow down and hinder the growth of an entire congregation.

Before you respond.
Before you retaliate.
Before you enter the fight.
