Today's lesson is about how God is our Protector. Why did God protect baby Moses? Because God had a big plan for that baby. God has big plans for you, too! Always remember: He loves you. Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday, so we're learning about the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus have to leave so "the Comforter" could come. I have to share this amazing analogy about Peter.

How many times did Peter deny Christ? Three times. After the resurrection, how many times did Jesus ask Peter if he loved him? Three times. Why do you think Jesus did that? To sort of cross out the denials. Do you think Peter was a bit of a coward? Yes, But I think I would be, too. On the day of Pentecost, how many people became followers of Christ because of Peter's preaching? 3,000! 1,000 for every time Peter denied Christ.

When we are filled with the Spirit, we have 1000 times the power compared to when we don't! Jesus said we'd be filled with power when the Holy Spirit comes on us in tomorrow's memory verse. See ya then!

I still don't feel "good" about Jesus suffering and dying on that horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day referred to as Good Friday, but if He hadn't have died in our place, where would we be? That part's good. Boys and girls, Jesus doesn't stay dead! Come Sunday morning to celebrate how He rose from the dead - which means that we will rise from the dead when we die!! There will be candy!!

"No greater love than this; that a man lay his life down for his friends." John 15:13 The most important thing He wants everyone to know is that He loves you and it doesn't matter if you've been good or not! ā¤ļø
