Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday, so we're learning about the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit? Why did Jesus have to leave so "the Comforter" could come. I have to share this amazing analogy about Peter.

How many times did Peter deny Christ? Three times. After the resurrection, how many times did Jesus ask Peter if he loved him? Three times. Why do you think Jesus did that? To sort of cross out the denials. Do you think Peter was a bit of a coward? Yes, But I think I would be, too. On the day of Pentecost, how many people became followers of Christ because of Peter's preaching? 3,000! 1,000 for every time Peter denied Christ.

When we are filled with the Spirit, we have 1000 times the power compared to when we don't! Jesus said we'd be filled with power when the Holy Spirit comes on us in tomorrow's memory verse. See ya then!

I still don't feel "good" about Jesus suffering and dying on that horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day referred to as Good Friday, but if He hadn't have died in our place, where would we be? That part's good. Boys and girls, Jesus doesn't stay dead! Come Sunday morning to celebrate how He rose from the dead - which means that we will rise from the dead when we die!! There will be candy!!

"No greater love than this; that a man lay his life down for his friends." John 15:13 The most important thing He wants everyone to know is that He loves you and it doesn't matter if you've been good or not! ❤️

This Sunday is Palm Sunday! People were shouting "Hosanna!" which means "Save us!" or "Rescue us!" In those times, people were thinking they needed to be saved from the rule of Rome (which no doubt, they did), but they didn't understand that they needed to be rescued from something far greater - sin and the punishment for sin! The salvation Jesus brought was summed up in John 14:6 - He connected us to the Father! We still need and have that salvation today! Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!"

Boys and Girls, I'm so excited! You know that Chip, the squirrel puppet, has lived in one of the lockers in KidzWay for years and years, well, he got the opportunity to come live on the Old Main Lawn at the University of Arkansas with a whole bunch of other squirrels. The squirrels here are very loved! They bring joy to all who pass by them. There are many acorns and other nuts for Chip to harvest and lots of trees to jump around in with his buddies and to build a nest in. He'll be one happy little squirrel! Chip still comes to our church, so you'll still see him from time to time - or you can come find him "squirreling" around on the Old Main Lawn. 🐿️🩷

Tomorrow in KidzWay Church we're going to be learning about how God is Omnipotent - that means God has un-ending strength and power. The memory verse is Jeremiah 32:17 "Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you." Although I don't usually use old english to do MVs, because I'd rather use plain language that you can understand, I think this song would be a much better way of learning this verse. Nothing is too difficult for God! Absolutely nothing! See ya tomorrow!

Ever wish you wouldn’t have told the kids that you were gonna be doing something the next week because now you’re tired and you didn’t get things done that you thought you were gonna have time to do? Oh yeah, like I did this morning! 😁 I’ve yet to start baking the nativity cookies that we’re gonna decorate in children’s church today. I think I will just bake them at the church lol! Don’t worry, boys and girls, I’ll get the cookies baked… somehow. 😂 ❤️
