Join us at the Institute this Saturday, Oct 29, starting at 9am for some shrub planting and landscaping upgrades. You can be a part of the beauty of this building for years to come! After this service, you can stay and watch the Arkansas-Auburn game. We’ll have snacks and refreshments throughout, and pizza during the game. See you Saturday morning!

And a few other Institute items: Join us for lunch today (Wed, 11:30-1:00) and dinner/Bible Study tomorrow (Thurs, 6:30/7:00). Also, we had to cancel our Wednesday night class (The Divine Gift of Forgiveness), but we’ve still got an awesome Family History lab tonight at 6:30. Thanks!

Here's some happy Wednesday Institute stuff today:
1. Free LUNCH! (Come anytime between 11:30-1:00)
2. Our "Answering My Gospel Questions" class starts today at 1:00pm.
3. We have a Family History lab at 6:30pm.
4. And a course on the "Divine Gift of Forgiveness" at 7pm. (Book included)

Some of the classes start the week of Aug 22-26, but we still have our ongoing classes this coming week and every week--Zoom CFM study (Tues, 8:30p), Family History lab (Wed, 6:30p), Bible Study (Thurs, 7:00p; with dinner before), and a podcast worth listening to (search "Answers to Gospel Questions").

Here are the quotes about faith I used in my talk on Sunday. I tried my best to point out that: 1) Our faith in Christ supports our life and leads to repentance, hope, and eternal salvation, and 2) Our scripture study supports our faith [specifically, we can’t have faith without the word of God (see Moroni 7:19-25)], and 3) Institute classes support our personal scripture study. In other words, Institute helps lay a foundation for gospel knowledge, strong study habits, accurate scriptural interpretation, and an ongoing love of God’s word. Participating in Institute classes “will increase your ability to excel in the most important things you will ever do in life” (President Russell M. Nelson). We hope you can join us at an Institute class this semester. Please register today, or just show up at a class. And bring friends with you!

Check out our fantastic line up of Institute Classes for the Spring 2022 semester. Classes start the week of Jan 24-28. You can register RIGHT NOW through the "Seminary and Institute" app, or at myInstitute.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

We have a great activity planned for this Saturday (6pm) at the Fayetteville Institute. The LDSSA and MSA will put on a Game Night--which includes, of course, being able to watch the Razorback game! We'll also have great food to enjoy!
And note: Parking at the Institute building this Saturday will be reserved for those attending this event.

▪️Mission Prep now starts at 6:30p on Tuesdays [starts tomorrow]
▪️New class section of "Hear Him" on Tuesdays at 6pm, at the Springdale Stake Center [starts on Sept 21]
▪️Rogers/Bentonville class will be on Thursdays at 7pm, at the Bentonville Stake Center [starts on Sept 9]

D&C 6:36 says, “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.” It’s a beautiful and inspiring passage. It’s also a great scripture study tip. As we focus our studies on Jesus, we will more easily discover the value, purpose, and power of His word. Also, as we center our study on Christ, we will more readily find Him in our lives.

Practice the study skill of identifying what the text is teaching about Jesus. There are both stated and implied teaching about Christ. Some are fairly obvious, such as what is taught in D&C 61:1-2. However, the next two verses might require more searching. For example, verse 3 explains it's "not needful" to travel quickly because its more needful to preach to others who "are perishing in unbelief." This priority shows the love Christ has for all inhabitants of the earth. And there are many more teachings about Him!

Take a few minutes to hear Him and find Him in these revelations.
