We’ve been watching the radar, and from what we’ve seen we’re going to plan (hope) on water wars with a back up plan in case what we’ve seen changes and we need to be inside. If you want to send dry clothes in case we get wet and have to shift gears that is always an option. See y’all tonight 🙌🏻🙌🏻

There WILL BE a kids event tonight no matter what! We are watching how weather develops to decide whether it will be an indoor game and movie night or if we can go ahead with water wars. We will make an official decision soon!

Why children's ministry? Because it's not babysitting. It's SO much more. It's life-saving, soul-shaping, world-changing ministry. It's leading children to the promise of a God who loves them and will never abandon them. It's spiritual training and the raising of spiritual champions. Children's ministry is a privilege and some of the most important work God has for us all!

Summer is in full swing, and it's finally feeling hot! What better way to celebrate than by having a big ol' water gun fight and water day! Water Wars is Friday June 26 from 5:00-7:30. This is always a fun time. Your kids will need a water gun and ready to get wet. Supper is provided. See you then!!

Summer break is in full swing, and likely you're already feeling too busy. Instead of filling the calendar with lots of activities, I encourage you to be intentional about the time you have and find ways to seek the Lord as a family. This article has some great ideas; one of my favorites is serving together. We have an awesome opportunity with the church to do just that in June. We'll be volunteering with Feeding Kids of Wayne County. This is a cool way to serve as a family and to help your children become more aware of the blessing they have. Check it out!

Why does children's ministry matter? Because it's a chance to let kids know they matter, they are valued, and they're known. They matter not just abstractly to God, but in a real way; they matter here and now to people and to the church. When you let kids know they're seen and wanted at church, it changes their world!

This Sunday, kids from preschool through 5th grade sit with their families. There will be worship bulletins with activities for the kids at the welcome center!
