We recently hosted the New Hope School teachers and staff for our annual Back to School luncheon. Each certified full-time teacher was presented a Walmart gift card to help them purchase items for their classroom. A delicious meal of grilled chicken breasts, hash brown casserole, green beans, sliced tomatoes, marinated cucumbers, and desserts was enjoyed. Twenty-seven attended from the school and nine attended from the church.

The New Hope General Baptist Church located at 449 County Road 1800 East, Fairfield, IL is offering three scholarships for the 2026-2027 school year.



Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to a student who is currently enrolled or will be enrolling in a four-year university and one $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student who is currently attending or will be enrolling in a two-year college or technical school for the 2026-2027 school year.



Potential candidates must be graduating high school seniors or current university/college/technical school students.



Scholarship packets are available at Wayne County High Schools and Frontier College.



The deadline to submit an application is April 1, 2026.
