This Sunday’s readings remind us that God is present even when life feels uncertain. Elijah encounters the Lord in a quiet whisper, while Peter learns to keep his eyes fixed on Christ amid the wind and waves. When fear causes Peter to falter, Jesus immediately reaches out and catches him.

Like a shepherd watching over his flock, Christ remains near—calling us to trust Him, follow Him, and place our fears in His hands.
