The Center Stage classic movie night returns this Thursday, August 8 with a season of the Sounds of Silents.

Every other month, our esteemed artist, accompanist and piano prodigy Patrick Lee will perform his own original score to a classic silent film from the early days of motion pictures. This week: Safety Last!, the 1923 comedy/thriller starring Harold Lloyd.

Known for its iconic clock tower scene, mix of physical comedy, clever visual gags. and daring stunts performed by Llyod himself, Safety Last! follows a young man who moves to the city to make a fortune.

In 1994, the Library of Congress selected Safety Last! for preservation in the United States National Film Registry, recognizing it as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Tickets $10 adults/$5 kids. Reserve seats today at https://app.dvforms.net/api/dv/wAblz
