Saint Mary Magdalen Parish in south Everett, along with Saint John the Evangelist in Mukilteo, is a community of faith serving our area as part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle. Mary Magdalen Parish and Saint John Mission have stood as vibrant pillars of faith in the Washington towns of Everett and Mukilteo. Saint John Mission was established in 1919 and became an integral part of the
newly-formed community of Saint Mary Magdalen in November 1957. Our journey began with the first parishioners gathering for Mass in a local school; less than three years later, the SMM community had flourished into a vibrant parish with the fall of 1960 seeing both the dedication of our church and the opening of our parochial school. Since then, the communities have grown together into a diverse family of faith, with over 10,000 parishioners. In February 2021, we celebrated a new chapter as the expanded and beautifully remodeled Saint Mary Magdalen Church was re-dedicated — a testament to the blessings bestowed upon our parish over the years. Just as then, we remain a vibrant community of dedicated parishioners. United in the Catholic Faith, we are committed to the reverent worship of Our Lord, our personal spiritual growth, and the advancement of the Kingdom of God on Earth through service and evangelism. We invite you to come and experience what our parish is all about and to become a part of our ongoing story!
