Why Do We Need Church?
That’s not just the cry of a tired and frustrated teenager early on a Sunday morning. Increasingly, it is the cry of tired and frustrated Christians of all ages.
We live in an age of radical individualism. We’ve been trained to think of ourselves as autonomous individuals, free to construct our own identities, choose our own communities, and decide for ourselves what is meaningful. And that individualism has deeply affected the way many people think about Christian faith.
God uses the Apostle Paul to describe the Church as a body. A living group of people. A body joined together under one Head. Living together, working together, growing together. And this vision helps shape what we believe about the Church, because Christianity is not merely a philosophy of life that tells us what to believe. Christianity tells us who we belong to.
in Ephesians 4, Paul shows us what that people looks like. The Church is United in Christ, Diverse in gifts from Christ, and growing up in Christ.
Listen to last Sunday, August 30th sermon from Ephesians 4 here:

In 1986 Whitney Houston released a song with a surprisingly theological question: “How Will I Know?”
She asks how she can know whether the person she loves really loves her—whether she can trust what she feels, whether the signs are reliable, whether the relationship is real.
People often ask a similar question about God's love: How do I know that God really loves me?
How do I know that I am truly saved?
How do I know that suffering does not mean God has turned against me?
How do I know that when I die, I will really be with Christ?

Listen to Sunday’s morning sermon from Romans 8:28-39 as we discuss Christian Assurance.

We’d love for you to join us for worship every Lords Day at 11:00am and 6:00pm.

Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” and every generation since has wrestled with the same question: Who is Jesus?

In Colossians 1:15-23 Paul explains that Jesus is the eternal Son of God—Creator of all things, Sustainer of all things, and Reconciler of all things—and He deserves not merely our admiration but our worship.
