We kicked off our first FCA of the school year today with Tucker Garrett reminding us of the importance of sharing the Gospel not only with those in our inner circle, but with those that may even be outside of our comfort zone. And our cross was such a hit last year that we’re bringing it back this year, but with something different. I stressed the importance of knowing scripture - not just reading it to check a box, but meditating on it, binding its words in our hearts, so that when we need it it’s there. When a student memorizes a verse, they can drop a ball in the cross and we’ll watch it fill up as we hide God’s words in our hearts. We’re excited about this school year and what the Lord will do in and through our students!

Our Lead Team planned an end of year FCA rally for the middle school to end this school year worshipping Jesus. They hung a banner and invited students to write a sin that they struggle with on it as they were coming in. Gabby explained later that they were going to mark through those sins with a red marker to signify Jesus’ blood washing away our sins, and explained that He died to save us from those sins so we can give it all to Him. Kate, along with Natalie & Brayden from the high school, gave testimonies and messages, and invited students to come down on the floor at the end to pray. Watching student leaders plan out what has been on their heart, and then watching their peers worship Jesus, is the best way to end the school year!

Can one person change an entire nation? Absolutely! So thankful for Pastor Matt Olson from First Baptist Church Sharon for bringing an awesome message this morning!

Update on our Every Student Every School initiative- we now have 60 balls in the cross! We ended last week with 37, so 23 Gospel conversations have been had this week by middle school students! Our students are telling their peers about Jesus like I’ve never seen before! AND, we have some 6th graders who are working on their friend about the importance of accepting Jesus. They aren’t just telling her the Gospel, they are trying to help her understand how it will change her eternity. Y’ALL!!! THIS is what makes it all worth it!

The cross has been delivered! Now let’s fill it up!
EMS FCA is participating in the “Every Student Every School” initiative to share the Gospel with every student in every school in Clarke & Lauderdale counties by the end of this school year. We’re so excited to see our students sharing the most important thing with their peers!
