The best way to help in the aftermath of the deadly fire is through donations to this fund. Please hold all those affected and all those offering assistance in your prayers.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.

- Pastor Teressa Sivers

A devastating fire has left individuals and families in our community without a place to live. In a matter of moments, residents lost not only their housing, but also many of their personal belongings, clothing, medications, and essential items.

Today, our neighbors need us.

We are launching the Knights Inn Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate assistance to those displaced by this tragedy. Donations will help meet urgent needs such as temporary housing, food, clothing, transportation, hygiene supplies and other critical supports as individuals and families begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.

When crisis strikes, our community responds. Together, we can help ensure that those affected by this fire have the resources, support, and hope they need in the days and weeks ahead.

Donate here https://uwbroome.harnessgiving.org/campaigns/21351.

Physical/in-kind donations are not currently needed. Please call 2-1-1 if you are looking for a place to donate goods.

Thank you Central UMC for the donations of cooking appliances to families that cannot cook food in motel shelters

A crock pot goes a long way. Families are able to prepare foods outside of a microwave because of that. Thank you so much and Alicia is our favorite receptionist, ever πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Happy Father’s Day to all who celebrate today.

Thinking of fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, chosen family, mentors, and all those who have offered love, guidance, and support. Holding space as well for those missing a father, grieving someone they love, navigating complicated relationships, or finding today difficult for any reason.

May you find peace, comfort, and moments of connection wherever this day meets you. πŸ’™

At Central United Methodist Church, all people are welcomed, valued, and loved. Together, we celebrate freedom and the hope of a more just and compassionate world for all.
