Hello everyone! Here are some updates on our school buildings. Our library officially has a roof! The next steps are plastering, doors and windows, and other final touches. Hello everyone! Here are some current updates about our school. The dormitory for boys is finished, and we are waiting for the engineer’s certification. We currently have 125 kids enrolled in our school, with 64 girls and 61 boys. Striving to be self supportive, we have started a school vegetable garden, growing spinach, sukuma wiki, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, carrots etc. Our next step is to construct a library, and building is planned to begin in January.

St. Francis Ministry is a non-profit organization established in 2010 exclusively for religious, charitable and educational purposes to support orphans and impoverished children in Kenya. We believe that by educating these children, we have the potential to improve not only their lives but their entire community.

We are a volunteer-based organization, and all of the funds raised will go towards achieving our mission of building a boarding school and educating children while providing for their essential needs.

To date, we have opened eight classrooms to support the academic needs of 125 orphans/poor children. The girls dormitory is complete and, when equipped, will accommodate a total of 120 students, 60 on each floor. The boys dormitory is being built with a plan for completion in 2022, accommodating an additional 120 students. We have a dining room attached to a small kitchen to be able to provide the students with two nutritious meals each day. There are outside restrooms within the perimeter of the newly constructed stone wall. A water tower for the distribution of running water at the various structures on the property is complete; electricity is in place at the site.

We have come a long way and still have much ground to be covered. Future plans include the building of a Library, Dispensary and Mission House. We are very excited about our progress and the possibilities moving forward. Dear Family and Friends:
Please see attached Flyer announcing a Raffle for a Table Top Grill, generously donated by Lowes of Vestal along with another generously donated $100 Gift Certificate to the great taste of Smokey Legend BBQ in Glen Aubrey. One-hundred percent of the funds received go to support the St. Francis Ministry in the continued construction effort for a Boarding School in Kenya.

To date, we have raised funds and have built an 8-Classroom Boarding School, Girls Dormitory, Boys Dormitory, Restrooms and Kitchen.

Funds are still needed to add the Library and a Mission House. Please help us finish the project!
