Crossroads Youth! Who’s ready for our 3rd Fall Retreat together?

October 16-18, we’re going back to Harvey Cedars for the weekend. Like our past retreats, we’ll have worship together, go on a silent prayer walk, and hear from our guest speaker. We’ll also have plenty of time to take it easy and have fun by the beach.

Students (grades 6-12) will leave from Crossroads on Friday, October 16th, at 3:30pm and return Sunday evening.

Registration includes transportation, lodging, meals on Saturday/Sunday, and of course, a retreat-exclusive sweatshirt 👀

Sometimes our perspective needs to change.

Diego wrapped up our summer testimony series last night. From his first year of college to the ministry he’s serving in now, God has been leading him through a lot of different seasons. Somewhere along the way, he knew his perspective started to shift.

Even in ministry, it’s easy to get distracted by what’s around us. Social media, the people we surround ourselves with, or the pressure to figure out what’s next. The answer isn’t always to do more. Sometimes it’s to remember who should be at the center. God must become more important, and we must become less important.

When we’re confused or searching, we can call on Him. Calling out to God doesn’t make us less human. It makes us honest. Wherever we find ourselves, we can choose to commit our plans, our work, and our next steps to Him.

Have you ever wondered why Jesus tells us to “go”?

James gave us a look into what God did during his mission trip to Guatemala. He and others visited several schools each day, sharing the gospel through testimonies, dramas, skits, and conversations with students and staff.

A conversation that stuck with him was at one of the last schools they visited. James felt God put it on his heart that one student was thinking about taking his own life. He was able to pray with him and remind him of the hope we have in Christ.

It’s moments like that that remind us why Jesus calls us to go. We never know who needs encouragement, prayer, or just needs someone to remind them they’re deeply loved by God.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” It’s more than a suggestion, it’s a calling for every believer. You never know how God might use one conversation to change someone’s life.
