In a world where Romans 13 is used out of context by all political sides to prove their points, we have to be careful not to use this text just when it is to our advantage.

Paul shows us in Romans how we should see each other and how we should act that out on the daily.

New members (ahem, 13! 👏) , kids in church, dancing, chameleons, and Playdoh in church?! Sunday was a fun one. 🎉

Pastor Liz and Pastor Brian dove into Romans 12, reminding us how we are molded by our influences. The question is, who are we letting mold us the most? 🤔

We have to pay attention ⚠️ to how much we let politics, TV, podcasts, peers, shape our lives. We have to allow His grace to transform our hearts, because loving like Jesus isn’t easy:

- Bless those who persecute you.
- Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
- Do not take revenge.
- If your enemy is hungry, feed them.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but be overcome by good.

What if we decide to put down our devices❎📱, pick up our Bibles✅📖, and be intentional in letting God REshape our lives?

Remember B.I.O. as ways you can let God's mercy reshape you:
B = Be before God daily
I = In community weekly
O = On mission 24/7

Tomorrow = Family Sunday Experience + New Members Recognition!

5th Sundays are Family Sundays so elementary students (K-5th) will join the adults in the worship center.

Here’s what to expect:
🖍A special kids' moment during the service and a game (with a prize!) for the kids to complete during the sermon.

🎶 Our youth worship band will worship (including some dance moves💃🏾)

👀 Kids observing how our Crossroads grown-ups pray and worship.

🤝 Put a name to a face and welcome new members at both services.

🥯 Family Breakfast between services, around 10:15am, for CKids families in the Kids Sanctuary. We'll provide bagels and ask that each family bring something. Sign up at crossroadsnaz.org/kids

See you tomorrow! A seat is waiting for you.

God's mercy is on full display in Romans 9-11. Pastor Liz pointed out how God did not abandon His people. Through Jesus, His promises are fulfilled—and Jews and Gentiles are grafted together into one living tree, united in God’s story.

We don’t belong because we earned our place. We belong because of God’s mercy and the culminating work of Jesus on the cross.

Romans 10:9 says that all it takes to be a part of that redeeming tree is to say: “Jesus is Lord!” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

And, importantly, God’s promises are for everyone. 🌿 No branch is more important than the other, but all are there because of God's grace.
