When was the last time you truly celebrated what God has done in your life?

This Sunday, we discovered that celebration isn't just a perk of the Christian life—it's a spiritual discipline! In Luke 15, Jesus reveals in parables that heaven throws a party every time a lost sinner is found. The angels rejoice, the Father celebrates, and we're called to join in that joy here on earth.

Too often, we treat our faith like a checklist of duties—prayer, Bible study, fasting—and forget that these disciplines should be leading us to overflowing joy. Celebration keeps everything else from becoming dull and legalistic. It's what makes our walk with Christ relational instead of mechanical.

You were lost, but now you're found. Heaven has already thrown a party for you! So let's live like it. Let's be the most joyful, alive people in any room we enter. Because when the world sees genuine joy in God's people, they'll more want to know the one who supplied it!

Friends and Family, tomorrow's a great day as we invite you to "Throwback Sunday". You're invited to dress in your old-school church clothes and sing some of the great hymns of the past! We're also honoring grads, being treated to another "Sermon in a Bag" and taking communion together. We'd love to have you be part of it!

We're sorry to be bearers of bad news, but there's flooding in our area, parts of Old 219 (our road) are already closed, and more storms are on the way! For that reason, we're calling off Wednesday Night's normal activities. Stay safe and dry tonight! -PD

The votes have been submitted, and the board and officers for the upcoming church year have been determined. We're thankful for those that served in the prior term, for those that ran this year, and for the members who voted. Now, we trust in God's continued blessing in the year ahead!

What if the life God desires for us is simpler than we think?

In Micah 6:8, God cuts through all our religious noise and complicated rituals with a beautifully clear answer: "Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." That's it. Not a longer to-do list. Not more stuff to acquire. Not busier schedules to maintain.

We've complicated what God made simple. We're shackled to possessions we don't need, drowning in debt we can't escape, and running at a pace we can't sustain—all while missing the One who offers us true peace. Jesus withdrew to lonely places to pray. If the busiest man who ever lived made time for God, so can we.

This week, ask yourself: What attachment is stealing my peace? What can I delay or drop from my calendar to walk humbly with God? True freedom isn't found in having more—it's found in being owned by One and led by One.
