Let me just tell you about my Jesus.

Day 7/24 days of reading Luke in the Bible 🤍

Chapter 7.
These two in this chapter really stuck out to me:
Jesus brought a dead man BACK TO LIFE.
Jesus forgive a woman for her sins.

In reading chapter 7, I have learned to focus on our faith. We are not alone, despite what our brain may tell us. We are never alone because of the love and foundation of Jesus.

✰ As Jesus and his disciples were on their way to a town called Nain, as he neared the gate, a dead man was being carried out. His mother’s only son and she was a widow. Our Lord saw her, had compassion for her and said “Do not weep”. Jesus came up, touched the opened coffin, and said “Young man, I tell you, get up!”

and guess what, the dead man sat up and began to speak! how AMAZING IS OUR SAVIOR. how amazing is He that he brought a dead man back to life and reunited him with his mother!

✰ Jesus is a forgiver. He forgives us for our sins. In Luke Chapter 7, one of the Pharisees invited Him to eat with Him. A woman in the town who was a sinner found out and brought a jar of perfume. He forgave a woman for her sins. She wept at His feet, washing His feet with her tears. She wiped His feet with her hair, kissing them and anointing them with perfume. Despite that, the main focus from others was how a sinner was touching Jesus. However, Jesus forgave her. Jesus was invited into this home and was offered no water for His feet. Jesus was not anointed by them. However, do you know who did? The woman. She anoited him. She washed his feet. Her many sins were forgotten. How wonderful is our Lord that He can and will forgive us for our sins?!

We should always have faith in God & trust in his plan.

It is easy to get discouraged when our prays don’t get answered in the way or at the time we want them too. Have you ever heard of the phrase “there is power in prayer”? I am here to tell you that it is absolutely true. We use prayer to communicate our thoughts, feelings with God.

Mark 11:24 highlights this! Go to God. He hears your cries. He hears your worries. He hears your pains. He hears your doubts. Go to him in prayer. And TRUST IN HIS PLAN. It might not always align with your timeline, but God plans for you is greater than any timeline you could possibly have. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. 🤍

Have you ever thought that life is just kicking you down? Or that it’s always one thing after another? Maybe you felt like nothing was ever in your favor?

It could be your car broke down again for the 3rd time this week. It could be that test you failed. It could be that you didn’t get that job promotion that you really really wanted.

God has a plan for us. We may not know what it is or what it entails, but he has a plan for us. He knows what He is doing, we just have to trust in Him.

Trust that he will bring you through. Trust that he will guide you. Trust that he will lead you. Trust that he will have your best interest at heart. Trust. In. Him. Whatever you do, you gotta trust in Him for he knows what he is doing.
