John Owen’s words still hit hard because sin never stays small. God’s grace is greater than our failure, but grace was never meant to make us passive. It calls us to confess, repent, and fight with everything we have.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

As a church, we are deeply thankful for the freedoms we enjoy — including the freedom to gather, worship, pray, and proclaim the name of Jesus openly.

May we never take those blessings for granted. We remember with gratitude, honor with humility, and pray for the families carrying the weight of sacrifice today.

The church should be a place where someone can finally say, “I’m not okay,” and know they won’t be judged, pushed away, or left to carry it alone.

This is what family looks like: showing up, speaking truth, offering grace, and walking together through every season.
