The size of your group or the age of your volunteers doesn't determine the impact you can make on a Casas por Cristo build. What matters most is a willing heart and a desire to serve the family receiving the home.

Kurtis Davis experienced this firsthand when he joined a team led by Brigham that consisted of just nine teenagers and two adults.

As Kurtis shared:

"God, Brigham, and the Casas por Cristo organization allowed a collection of nine teenagers and two old guys to construct a house for a pastoral family in just 2.5 days. Couldn't have asked for better—praise the Lord!"

This team's faith, dedication, and willingness to serve demonstrate how God works through people of every age and background. Together, they built more than a house—they helped lay a foundation for ministry.

The pastoral family now has a safe place to live while continuing to serve their community and establish a church right outside their home. Their new house provides more than shelter; it creates opportunities to share the love of Jesus with neighbors for years to come.

Stories like Kurtis's remind us that you don't need a large team to make an eternal impact. When people serve with willing hearts, God uses them to build hope, strengthen communities, and change lives.

Have you ever had the opportunity to serve a family in need alongside your child? Serving together gives your children the chance to experience firsthand the lasting impact that just one week can make. If the experience is life-changing for you, imagine how deeply it could shape their hearts and faith as well.

During a build trip, your children will learn valuable lessons in compassion, generosity, and trusting God—lessons that can stay with them for a lifetime. They'll also have the opportunity to build meaningful friendships with the children of the family they're serving. There is something incredibly beautiful about watching two children who don't speak the same language still find ways to laugh, play, and connect.

Together, you're helping create a legacy that reaches far beyond the week you serve. The lives of the families receiving these homes are changed for generations, and the children who grow up in them will one day share these stories with their own families. Their home becomes a lasting reminder of God's provision and the love of Jesus.

Come be a part of this legacy—not only for the families receiving a home, but for your own children as you serve, grow, and witness God's faithfulness together.

"But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."–Joshua 24:15 (NLT)

Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT says, "Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ." CasasporCristo
